who seemed to have similar symptoms and you said it may be a yeast infection. Is it possible that may be what I have aswell? I also feel like because I have had this for 14+ days now, it couldn't be a allergic reaction could it? Because i've had it for so long I would think a allergic reaction would have gone away by now. Honestly it sounds like you both could have herpes. In your case you can have it orally and vaginally. A yeast infection can not cause these type of sym in a man or any one else for that matter. So it is not your fault!! But herpes can show and clear up within a week or a few days and you or your husband may not have another out break for wks, months or years even. But if you havent been tested i feel you should do so it is always better to know.

last year, i was treated for a upper res. infection...cleared up with antibiotics (z-pac)...4/5 days after last dose of z-pac diagnosed with folliculitis.
two weeks ago, same thing happened as above
question is, why am i getting folliculitis, afterwards? Is it the antibiotic?
It should be known the first time it happened, they gave me erythromycin. I have not gone to my GP the second time around.
just a little nervous what i read about folliculitis...like std's, diabetes...etc, ...
I was prescribed bactroban. The physician I saw said it was a mild skin infection. I used the ointment and on Tuesday, May 5, I woke up with a killer headache and a sore tongue. I continued to use the bactroban until Wednesday, May 6. My tongue was white so, I went back to urgent care. The physician said that I was probably having an allergic reaction to the bactroban and prescribed me an oral antibiotic. I used the new medicine with no issues.

is tehre a chance that i can get fungal infection now because of the antibiotic? a day after bactroban i put tioconazole until now and there are no rashes now but occasionally its itchy. and there's a small bump near the urine passage like .5 cm away from it. my doctor checked for lesions during the consultation and it was tehre already even before that. shall i be worried since it is still not gone?
I had a swollen foreskin and also tight when erected. I used bactroban oinment and subsequently the infection was reduce ie the rediness of penis is reduced and have become normal, but still after getting the erection the foreskin dose not retract and the shape of penis is like an hour glass shape when erect and normal while flaccid. P.s the blisters come up small and then pop and crust over yellow like a weeping cut, it has only had one big blister before. I placed betadine on it and that seemed to help but so did bactroban, it also tingles before it comes up and gets itchy but NEVER hurts!

I was confused when my tests came back today negative for bv, trich, and yeast. Only a trace amount of bacteria was found. Could that trace amount cause my symptoms or is there something else?? Thank you.
I have a staph infection the starts on the corners of my mouth. I went to see a Dermatologist and we took a culture. He informed that is was Staph. I don't remember which version. I was given Bactroban and some oral, I think Moxcecilin (sp?) as I pehnotically spell it.
It cleared up. A few days later it came back. I took the oral and the bactroban did nothing. It spread to my ear, genitals, and my nose. I got another prescrption for the oral. It cleared up.
Two days after the incident, the penis foreskin felt itch, burn, and turn red, no discharge, no rash, no pain. My General Practice Dr gave me clotrimazole to treat yeast infection. Blood and urine tests on the second day after contact were all negative.
3.5 wks later, I still had same symtoms and my anus started to itch. My dr prescribed diflucan, one tab per week for two week, PROCTOZONE as rectal cream, mupirocin (BACTROBAN), Blood and urinalysis were all negative again.

Replying to the question as posed in the title: Saliva rarely transmits STDs, if ever; and liking intact skin -- whether of the scrotum or anywhere else -- is not a risk for any STD.
Now I have read the question itself. Your own evaluation is correct: "From everything you've said in the past on other posts, I believe that I have next to no risk for an STI". (Except I would delte "next to". There was no risk, period.
The itching comes from the constant exposure of lymphatic tissue to millions of bacteria and yeast, resulting in the release of inflammatory mediators including histamine. While not made especially for this purpose I would consider using an antihistamine-containing cream; something that contains diphenhydramine for example. You may also want to try a dab of 'bactroban' ointment to keep infection from gaining hold.
