Hi, I have two questions. First, my lips have cracked/ or lip fissures on the corners of my mouth. How can I get rid of them?? I have used 1%hydrocortisone cream, zinc cream, washing my face w/water and soap and then applying vasoline, Aquaphor and it won't go away. What can I use to help it???
I get an reddish rash underneath my arms almost every winter. Perspiration causes the rash to itch. One winter the same appeared on my inner thighs. When summer comes it disappears! My treatments: I have switched body soaps, wash my armpits two to three times a day, gone to a medicated baby powder instead of deodorant, tried 1% hydrocortisone cream instead of medicated powder and nothing works. My doctor said it looked fungal and recommended Lotrimin, an antifungal cream.
I would suggest that you apply calamine lotion and a simple antimicrobial cream like Bactroban or Neosporin on the rash and keep the area clean.I f the symptoms persist then topical steroids and oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

I also doubt that it is an allergic reaction to the bactroban- I would expect to see a rash, hives, or redness at the site you were applying it to. Your symptoms could indicate an infection, though I would expect you to have a fever of 101 or more.
At this point I think you should contact the Dr. who prescribed your bactroban to see if your culture results are back and to let them know about your continued symptoms.
ENT said I had some colonies in nose soUsed Bacrtoban for 3 days and slight pain in my nose went away per ENT. I stopped the bactroban after 3 days because I was not sleeping but I was also using Nasocort and maybe that was the culprit.
Cold gone sinus not infected but having some pain that feels like a tooth ache and slight tickle or sting in nostrils when breathing. Left septum is a little enlarged.
I went back to the doctor straight away and he said it was a rash caused by the Bactroban Cream and he gave me Dovate Cream to apply on the rash area. He said I should use it on my chin as well and that the infection (Cellulitis) has gone and it is just scar tissue.

Hello. I have a rash of some kind below my naval above my pubic region. I've had the same sexual partner for the past year and she doesn't have any rash or anything in this area or anywhere. In October of last year I scratched myself under my eye putting in a contact lens. Though the scratch healed, I now have a strange, chronic rash under my eye. Occasionally it will itch, though I'm not sure it's related to the actual rash. It appears as red bumps, occasionally with a white pustule, though none have festered like a pimple. The bumps are not painful, nor do they crust or scab, but they are very red.
Sometimes it takes a while to feel lousy. Take a photo of your rashes and keep taking photos as long as there are changes. Keep all the photos -- cell phones photos are fine as long as they are clear enough to see. If the scale/size of the rash isn't obvious from the photo, then I'd hold a ruler next to the rash so the ruler shows in the photo how big the rash is. MDs get really interested when there is show AND tell. Look online for Lyme rash photos and see what you think.

I saw another doctor, who said I had folliculitis, and he prescribe Bactroban(Mupirocin) for me. He also hints me the folliculitis cannot be cured completely. I have to put Bactroban on the infected part to relieve the symptom, when I found acnes symptom become more severe. Then, I put Bactroban on my face. At the first 2 days, nothing happen. I therefore put more Bactroban on.

I also noticed that a lymph node in my groin on the opposite side of my body from the rash was tender, and I had a soreness in my ribcage. I applied Neosporin to the area, and within a few days the rash had spread to include about 7 lesions, all small and centered on hair follicles.
I went to a STD clinic where the physician thought the symptoms were consistent with an acute staph infection, particularly because the symptoms were aggravated by the Neosporin.

The condition healed a bit, but there was still some redness on the tip.So I went back to my GP who prescribed me Kenacomb ointment. I used it for 3-4 days and the irritation aggravated and i could see inflamation in new areas on the penis head. Then I went to my GP and he changed the cream to Bactroban.
