ENT said I had some colonies in nose soUsed Bacrtoban for 3 days and slight pain in my nose went away per ENT. I stopped the bactroban after 3 days because I was not sleeping but I was also using Nasocort and maybe that was the culprit.
Cold gone sinus not infected but having some pain that feels like a tooth ache and slight tickle or sting in nostrils when breathing. Left septum is a little enlarged.
Now diagnosed with post-herpetic neuralgia, but I still have blisters in my nose treating with Bactroban. The original sore that was on my cheek never dried out, instead shrinking from the Bactroban. I am still suffering these and other new symptoms and I wonder if the original sore might be keeping the virus active since it never naturally resolved. Someone PLEASE help me. Thank you.
She said my nose is extremely dry, thus the scabs/crusting and rawness. Even feels sore down the back of my nose into the throat area now. Said to use saline spray and lots of saline gel and drink a lot of water as I am dry all over. I did find out I am very allergic to molds, grass and tree pollen and started allergy shots 3 months ago but have gotten worse since last year when this all started. Always raked leaves with no problem before that. Now I need a mask to vacuum.
I was diagnosed with a staph infection in and outside my nose. My nose was so red I could have been Rudolph'sister!! Anyways it would go away and come back again over and over every time getting worse and worse. I would get soars in my nose and on my top and bottom lip. It itches and burns and stings all at the same time. I now believe that my staph infection turned into perioral dermatitis. Is this possible?
Ear pain or otalgia may be caused by conditions within the ear or outside the ear such as sinus disease, inflamed tonsils, infections in the nose and pharynx, and even neurological issues. I would also like to mention that I live in a clean environment. I have a wife and 2 kids. I don't do sexual things with my mouth. I do ride the public bus and shave in the shower. These are the only things I can come up with that would enable this to reoccur. I realize Staph is bacteria and either I continue to get it (like my doctor things), or it just has never gone away (like I think).
Topical antibiotics such as Neosporin and Bactroban are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

Did your doctor say what it is, bump or pimple? How do you feel the bump? Is it in the area between the outside skin on your nose and the air channel, or is it against an inside wall of you nose?
Your bumps may be the same as my ear lobe experience. I often have a bump in my ear lobe and while it doesn't bother me much I find myself squeezing the ear lobe with my fingers to feel the bump.

I had a condition like this and it had been affecting my nose for almost 2 years. The skin around my nose was flaky and dry and in the colder months, the skin around my most turned red. I went to my doctor so he could check things out and he took a sample of the skin around my nose to send it away for testing. When the results got back, I returned to my doctor to find out that i had a staff infection around my nose.
I have to put Bactroban on the infected part to relieve the symptom, when I found acnes symptom become more severe. Then, I put Bactroban on my face. At the first 2 days, nothing happen. I therefore put more Bactroban on. Probably as I put too much dosage on my face, I felt the skin on my face was pickled and I can see some wrinkles on my face. 4-5 days later, ances disappeared. However, I feel my skin is not as healthy as before since that.
Also you have advised to use Mupirocin (Bactroban®). I am unsure about where to apply the Ointment. In the affected area or the Nostrils (I think you mean the affected area) Please clarify this. Also you have said to repeat that every 6 months, please tell me how long should I continue this. You have told here to apply mupirocin (Bactroban®) twice daily for a week.
it had a white color , similar to the ones that are found on the face (the white color in zits) ...what can i do to make it disappear...In addition, i had masturbated in these past 6 months off course... My question is how can i cure this pimple and what does it signify??

A topical antibiotic cream, mupirocin (Bactroban®), has been effective at reducing bacterial colonization in the nostrils. It is applied twice daily for a week and is repeated every 6 months.

I have always had a clear complexion but 2 times in my life I have had issues with the skin between my nose and mouth. I went to a dermatologist once and he perscribed this ointment and it went away. I was working in the service industry then, but not now. I dont know if I am having this as a result of an allergic reaction, or is it a fungus or a staph infection or some kind of bacterial infection or yeast infection or something else?
I decided to make a dermatologist appointment, and she prescribed Nystatin and Mupirocin for the time being, and took two cultures, one of the corners of my mouth and one in my nose to check for bacteria. I had to mix the two prescriptions together 2-3 times a day for 5 days. The condition definitely got better, but was still somewhat visible. The results of the cultures came back last week and I apparently had a minor staph infection in my nose, so she prescribed Bactroban Nasal.
Wear cotton undergarments and keep the area clean. Also use mild soaps like Dove. Apply Neosporin or Bactroban cream on the red bumps.

Also, I noticed that my entire body felt like it was constantly trembling and that my pulse was constantly rapid. I went back to the doctor and he took a culture and gave me bactroban to put on the burn until the results come back. Since then, the area around the burn seems very faintly pink (when I had the cellulitis it was red) and still warm and tender to the touch, and also that I am experiencing alot of numbness and tingling and a burning sensation on my left leg, both arms, and my face.
The anti-biotic helps for the infection but it doesnt seem to kill the bacteria, ive had this bacteria for almost two years now and maybe the nose swipe came back negative cause i was using nose bactroban at that moment in time? I do have Epidermolysis Bullosa which is a inherited connective tissue disease causing blisters in the skin and mucosal membranes so my skin comes of easier than other people , not sure if it could be a factor.
It had like a hard core, was raised with what looked like a bit of puss in the middle surrounded by a red ring then the redness and swelling (like a great big puffy, red blister but not a blister) spread out towards my nose. Went to the doctor who said it was a spider bite and put me on an antihistimine, quarter zone and a strong dose of antibiotics for 3 days. Its now itchy and sometimes I feel like tingling feeling.
