It could be a case of food poisoning or just a case of bacterial or viral gastroenteritis. Please drink plenty of fluids and take a light diet. Replenish the salts in your diet. Consult your doctor. You may need to take some tests like stool and urine examination. Please watch your urine color. A urine examination will detect any loss of blood however microscopic. In case there is blood loss, it will need to be looked into. Generalized infection can at times cause blood in urine.
But its specifically on my side, not my back or tummy. Its been a week since symptoms started. Symptoms include a constant achy feeling in the area, sharp pains in the area when i lay down or move positions or laugh or cough. I went to the doc after 5 days. I would agree that it is far more likely that your symptoms are due to a gastroenteritis that ARS. I would say this is the case for three reasons. They are:
1. Your exposure was no risk. HIV is not spread without penetration and the simple act of getting a partner's genital secretions on you, even near a site such as your anus, is still no risk.
2. Your partner said he did not have HIV and most people do tell the truth about such things.

Yes, acute HIV infection can start within three days. However, shooting pain and diarrhea can be due to viral or bacterial gastroenteritis or stomach flu as well. I suggest, you get stool examined for infection. Take an OTC lactobacillus preparation (probiotics) and yoghurt with your meals, after giving the stool sample for examination Drink plenty of fluids (clear soups, water, ORS in water, lemonade).
My daughter is 14 months old and she has has watery diarrhea and vomitting. It could be a case of gastroenteritis (gut infection) which has led to diarrhea and vomiting. The main symptoms of gastroenteritis are diarrhea and vomiting although one or the other symptom may predominate.
If the symptoms persist (>1 day), worsen or lead to other complications you should consult your doctor who could order some tests such as stool examination etc.
In the meanwhile take rest and drink lots of fluids to avoid dehydration.
around 2 months ago i started having cold/flu symptoms i tried to treat them herbally with umka cold care wich i found at wholefoods echinacea and emergen-c. they had no effect i then left for madrid,spain for about a week when i returned and went to the emergency room i was vomitingdown to bile and allthough i had been constipated for the whole trip in spain i suddenly started having water like bowel movements.
