About 6 weeks ago I started to get pain in my back. The pain is located under my left scapula (shoulder blade??). It kind of feels like a pinched never type pain. Soon after pain, I started to feel tightness in my chest. It is difficult to explain the tightness. It is not tightness caused by congestion. If feels like my chest is heavy or the muscles are laboring more to suck air into my lungs.
Today the pain in the back feels more like a burning sensation.
Suggest avoiding coffee and see if the stomach 'tightness' subsides. If no, then it may be the medication. if it is the medication, suggest talking to your MD. Thank you for your question.
Okay, today I am 27 weeks, but all weekend I have been having strange stomach pains. It feels like a needle stabbing or cramping in my upper abdomin, almost like when you don't eat for a long period of time so your stomach starts to hurt... I've also noticed with this pain the baby has been kicking me less and I am really concerned. I left a message with my Dr but no call back yet. Is this serious enough I should go to the dr right away?? I am a ftm and the pain has gotten worse today.
Hi, it could be Peptic ulcer pain, which is usually a burning pain. They commonly occur in the stomach and duodenum. Stomach ulcers cause pain on eating and duodenal ulcers cause pain on fasting (2-3 hrs after eating). Peptic ulcers are eroded areas in the lining of the digestive tract usually in the stomach and duodenum. The two common causes for this are: infection with helicobacter pylori and use of nonsteroidal anti inflammatory medications (NSAID).
Is stomach pain normal the first 5-7 weeks especially when lying down.
I think you should go to l&d i also had persistent back pain my stomach would tighten every now and then, but when i went in i was contracting every 2-6 mins.
I'm 35w5d and I suck at describing pain so bear with me. My back always hurts so that's nothing new but today there's been a lower back pain that literally paralyzes me. In addition to that my belly has been really hurting. It's not much of the usual tightness that everyone talks about but it's very uncomfortable. I literally cannot stretch my stomach in any way(bend over, lean back, leaning to either side) w/o it really hurting. Like take my breath away hurt.
But lately Ive been having these sharp pains at the end of my clitoris like someone is poking it with a needle or pinching it with fingernails. It starts as a tightness in my stomach and I feel it all the way down to the pinch. I recently had a Urine test done and everything came back normal. What could this be?

It started with pain pressure in the mid upper stomach where the ribs end. Sometimes the pain would be felt in my mid back. I also have an extreme, very uncomfortable amount of gas. I don't have heartburn, and I feel the best when I first wake up in the morning. I also don't have much of an appetite. I have gone to the doctor and have an endoscope scheduled for the 26th. I have been taking gasx and prisolec as instructed by the doctor, until she can see what's going on.

I am a 24 year old male and have been experiencing tightness in neck, chest, and sometimes shoulder area. The tightness is not painful like I could have a heart attack but more irritating. I had surgery for a hiatal hernia and had laparoscopic fundoplication done and I also have scoliosis. I've been to a chiropractor for my tightness to see if that would help but it just came right back. Wonder if this could be related to my scoliosis.

Tightness may be due to muscle spasm. If the symptom is persistent, it may be due to an adaptation to pain. The tight muscle performs a protective function by maintaining a rigid tone. If the symptom is intermittent, then it is less likely to be due to a chronic pain like that commonly found in cancer. Stay positive.
Went to the ER for stomach tightness and right side pain. Turns out i had 4 small contractions but cervix test was negative for preterm labor. Turns out i have a UTI. Such a scary scary night. Still makes me worried but knowing my babygirl is okay makes it alot better. Anyone elae go thru something like this?
