back pain hurts to breathe

For 3 to 4 weeks now I have pain and tenderness in my upper back and when I breathe it hurts. I too am sore and tender when I touch the areas in my back. I went to the doctor and he put me on the Medrol 6 day dosage which is a steroid. It worked for 6 days and then came back and then the doctor put me on 2400mg a day of Ibuprofen which has not worked. I am going to my Oncologist tomorrow for my 6 month check up and will ask him. I also have very bad muscle spasms the past 6 months.

It hurts so bad to cough. I need help desparately. My primary dr is new to me bc my other one moved away.

I went to emergency the other night because my back pain was so severe. After getting blood work and a chest x-ray, the diagnosis was lung infection and muscle spasms in my back. When i cough, it hurts like crazy. I can't lie down, it hurts too much and I can not breathe. I hurts to breathe anyways, especially deep breaths. I am coughing up some blood too. I am taking muscle relaxants, tylenol 3, and a anti biotic to fight the infection. I am taking my pain killers every 3.

Have you over exerted yourself and maybe hurt your back and did not realize it? This does happen to alot of people. I would suggest that you see your doctor and have x-rays done to find the source of your pain. I hope your better very soon. I can't say what is wrong but it sounds as if you may have over exerted yourself to the point you injured your back without even realizing it. It may as simple as a muscle sprain but it is always best to have it checked out and then go from there.

It definitely sounds like a muscle, you can ice it to try to relieve some pain. I feel you on the Tylenol thing. Useless crap lol you're almost done though, good luck!

Im only 18 weeks along and my back has hurt so much for the past few weeks that it hurts to breathe sometimes. You need a visit to an ER. This is probably insignificant, however this symptom is also a hallmark of a developing dissecting aortic aneurysm.

for the past like 3 days my upper stomach by my ribs like under my boobs hurts, and its an uncomfortable pain cos i feel like i cant breathe or its harder to. im just wondering if anyone else has felt this pain before and knows what it could be ? plus i have a loss of appetite if that helps any..

When i lay down on my right side and roll towards my back this lain wraps from my upper back towards my stomach. But if i lay on my left side its not as bad but still hurts. It hurts to breathe also. Im 34 weeks and 4 days, what could this be? Its never happened before until this morning.

Anyways, one day in the gym I was doing squats with the bar on my back below my neck like your supposed to and while driving up to rack the bar my shoulder popped from the weight and it was terrible pain. On Saturday, August 21, I had moved from my apartment back to my mothers house. I moved a Television, some boxes, and a bunch of other heavy things. I didn't pay attention to my proper lifting techniques and think I maybe pulled a muscle in my back, but my anxiety is making me think otherwise.
