Back pain abdominal mass

Common Questions and Answers about Back pain abdominal mass

Avatar n tn if it's part of the abdominal wall, and not a mass within the belly, then the likelihood of something dangerous is really small. Hernia is a possibility, as well as a lipoma or other harmless growth. But the only way to be sure is to be evaluated more fully. I'd say a general surgeon would be type of doctor most able to diagnose it simply.
Avatar m tn I asked for something that might help with the vomiting and if surgery was the only option for the mass. I was told that prednisone could possibly shrink the mass but it would not be a cure. The vet didn't say anything about the dehydration. Bandit has not thrown up in 2 days. He has a huge appetite but I have limited the amount of food I give him at a time hoping that he can digest it better. I have been giving him water thru a syringe because he does not seem to be drinking on his own.

Avatar f tn I had a diagnostic laproscopy done on march 12 which found a mass on my abdominal anterior wall near my bladder and no one can tell me what it is they explained it to my husband as a hard ball with arms that r coming out of it! No one will remove it either the doctor that did the procedure wouldn't remove it cuz he didn't know what it is! I've been in horrible pain for 2 months this thing doesn't show up on ct scans or MRI's!
Avatar f tn (This was found by a ER doctor in January 2013) Been dealing with undiagnosed abdominal pain since 2008. I also know that I have a white mass on the left frontal lobe of my brain, that the doctor said is nothing to worry about. I am still in a lot of pain. Can't take narcotics because of the side affects.
Avatar n tn I am a 35 yo mom of 4. I have had 3+ months of lower back, pelvic, and abdominal pain with intermittant cramping and swing from constipation to diarrhea. I had normal blood test about 2 1/2 months ago except for low iron. History: 7/26/06 I had my 4th c section followed an hour later my a total abdominal hysterectomy due to "postpartum uterine rupture/hemorrhage--needed many many units of blood and clotting factors--and left me in the ICU) which left me w/ only my left ovary/tube.
Avatar f tn That happened Friday moring. They told me to go back for a 12 hour re-check. That evening I went back in they started an IV and gave me another x-ray. Kept me 6 hours and let me go. It's now Sunday night I had a bm 4 hrs ago. Thats it.
Avatar f tn I'm, of course, scared but I'm wondering if my abdominal pain could be caused by these masses?? I am convincing myself that I also have colo-rectal cancer since the pain is in the middle of my abdomen below the belly button. Whew, this is all too much. Thank you for answering my question.
Avatar f tn So in my experience, it MUST be related -- 4 doctors told me that abdominal problems could not cause shooting lower back pain and leg numbness... but i always had extreme abdominal cramping immediately prior, and spent the next day puking... AND it was always my left side that had constant dull pain -- kinda feels like somene put a rock in there -- sometimes it is dull and smoothe, and sometimes a sharp point hits. I FOUND THAT ICING THIS AREA FOR 15-20 MIN HELPS TREMENDOUSLY....
Avatar f tn They gave me pain meds and phenergon for the vomiting and told me to take it before every meal so that I am able to keep my food down cause I am getting weak and said to come back if my pain gets worse. I just dont understand why i should have to take pain pill daily and phenergon daily to stay comfortable and be able to eat....IT DONT MAKE ANY SENCE AT ALL!!!!!
796652 tn?1237649644 Why would'nt ct show the mass? I went in complaining of abdominal/pelvic pain, lower back pain for approx. 4 - 5 weeks now.I'm really worried because ct is'nt seeing anything yet the pain is still going on.
Avatar n tn For about a year , I have been experiencing pain on the lower right side of my back and abdomen. Test concluded that the cyst was back on the same ovary and that the pain may have been radiating to the right side causing the pain. Six months ago, I went through another painful surgery to have it removed. The pain went away for about a month but shortly came back.
Avatar f tn I recently had a fall and had an abdominal CT. A mass on my spleen was discovered. I have been having the following problems: extremely tired, very sleepy, bloating and gas (didn't think anything of it since I have had acid reflux disease for years), nausea and vomiting, abdominal discomfort, pain in lower left side of back. The lab tests show I'm anemic (31). I am now taking iron tablets, but my symptoms have not changed. What can be going on and what should I be telling my doctor?
Avatar n tn I've been taking an over-the-counter IBS supplement made by Ganeden and it seems to calm my stomach a lot if I take it pretty soon after I wake up. I also have less pain, especially back and hip pain, if I avoid driving. (Which is not usually possible.) I do have pain with ovulation, but that's been there since before I had my son.
Avatar m tn Sometimes the pain went into my back. It was really bad if I laid down on my back for a long period of time. When they found it I was told I had pancreatic cancer and scheduled for PCP ran a test called an IgG4 and discovered it was AIP instead. I owe him my life.....if I would have had that surgery, I would have lost my pancreas and spleen. It wouldn't hurt to mention it to your doctor.
Avatar n tn I had left side Abdominal Pain for past 2 years and couldn't find out what's cause the pain. after many ultrasound, ct scan, then they think the pain cause by the cyst. Anyone could help me for the last report, please! Uterus: orientation: Retroverted size: 9.4 x 5.2 x 5.6 cm, mildly enlarged Mass: no focal mass. heterogeneous appearance of the uterus. cervix: normal left ovary: size: 3.6 x1.4 x 2.2 cm mass/cyst: 0.7 x 0.9 x 1.
Avatar n tn Pain only persisted, severe lower back pain. I went to my OBGYN, and she said that my uterus felt very tender. She sent me for an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed a solid mass in my ovary, and something on my uterus. My Dr. sent me for a blood test, which was normal (for cancer). My periods are normal. Help.. I'm terrified, I am a single mother of a two year`old.I've been sick for almost a year... just not feeling well.
Avatar m tn _floatind stool - Abdominal pain: - Back pain - Loss of appetite - Gastric reflux - Nausea Thank you
Avatar n tn I have been having bloating, nausea, constipation, abdominal pain, and pain in my left flank area daily for about 3 months, oh and I have lost about 13 lbs (that part I am not complaining about though :O) I have a history of Kidney Stones so my doctor ordered me a ct scan and blood work. The nurse called me and told me that my blood work came back fine and I didn't have kidney stones. However, they did see a mass on my left ovary. They scheduled 2 different types of ultrasounds.
Avatar n tn I do not know if I should try to get another opinion or wait for surgery which is scheduled 5/2. I have back pain and abdominal cramping in mornings but feel fine by noon. Any experience or suggestions would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn I am a 54 yo mother of five, recently went to MD for back and abdominal pain, CT done and found a 4x5 adnexal mass and a 1.4 cm mass on my left adrenal gland. US was performed and although there was a slight difference in size from ultrasound and CT, it's there. Saw gyn who suggested we could just sit on it for 6 wks and then have another scan to see if it is bigger, however I prefer to have it removed since I am post-menopausal and have never had any problems that I know of before.
707713 tn?1228954941 now 4 months later the pain has never stopped, often times its a dull pain, sometimes sharp, accompanied by a pressure and at night i will lay on my back sometimes and feel a hard mass protrude to the right of my belly button and even stretch farther down towards my grown on other occassions. even if i dont feel the pressure from the mass, my left side will sink in when on my back while my right side remains firm and slightly rounded.
