A week later my feet also started to twitch, and my calves and feet started to feel sore. My doctor keeps telling me that i don't need to see a neurologist. Tonight i woke up with pain in my front upper leg. I'm so worried that i have ALS/MS. How worried should I be? I don't have ALS in my family history. I try to relax and don't think about it, but i constantly experience pain in my calves and now also in my upperleg and it freaks me out.
The middle of my back feels like its broken, exp. when I try to bend over backwards. My bottom of my neck and shoulders have always been stiff for as long as I can remember too. My arms get sore and so does my legs.
I am sick of complaining to my doctor. I have been diagnosed with TMJD, Myalgia and Myositis. Lyrica did not do too much, I felt good for a bit but not my muscles. They changed me to another muscle relaxant, but I do not feel the full benefits.
Could I have a back or head injury?
The surgery provided me with some relief, although it definitely didn't restore me even close to 100% like I had hoped. I wonder if it was a mis-diagnosis or half-diagnosis, and it makes me question whether the nerve pinching issues is actually at the shoulder RATHER than the neck. Regardless, the issue is no longer in my neck and shoulder, but in my neck, shoulder, and back. It's difficult to even pinpoint the pain.
I have always been an anxiety ridden person,but here recently I have been clenching my teeth a lot more and I think it is causing the back of my tounge and the front parts of my throat to be sore but not like a sick sore really like a muscle strain sore. I carry a lot of anxiety in my neck and shoulders and I do find myself clenching my jaw quite a bit anymore,but I am now thinking that my tounge and throat muscles are now tensing up.
McB is right. Goodness knows, all kinds of problems can cause neck, shoulder and back pain and the number one reason, believe it or not; as I am told by my doctor, is poor posture. That is in the absence of any structual problems in those areas, like degenerative changes caused by arthritis, disks problems, overuse of those muscles or even muscle tension.
When it is rested it is fine, more I use my right arm, my right shoulder muscles start to get tired and sore fast, then it starts to shoot down my right arm, then my pinky and ring finger start to go numb. This has been going on for years and not going away. And is a trigger spot on my spine just below the neck, fells like a constant bruise. I feel it is nerve related in my neck area.
now that im not feeling sick my muscles in my back and neck have stayed sore and cramped. it had recently moved to my neck and the front of my neck almost down to my chest. and now i am experiencing the itch, my neck , my chest and my rib cage front and back, i cant stop itching! i had a massage and felt better for about 3 hours and im itching even more, i dont want to panic but i want to know if theres something wrong with my liver or if its stress related and im just freaking out.
I agree that subluxtions do cause problems, but Chiropractors think everything is related to improper alignment, and its not. Stretching and strengthening muscles in a given area is key to getting rid of this type of pain.
I've used Chiropractors in the past and I know people that swear by them but, I would never let one touch my neck, I've had neck surgery and I need to have another one, so our situations are different.
9 months...I'm finally throwing it out to the internet.
In June 2020 I got a bout of laryngitis. I continued on for 10 days w/ progressing neck pain radiating up to my temple on right side. Sent for Covid test (neg). Worsened and went to ER. Xrays and CTs showed slight protrusion of C4&5 and C6&7, but otherwise - normal. CBCs normal. SedRate/Inflammation marker - normal. I am female, 5'8 140, overall good health. In the last 9 months, ENT for laryrngoscopy -> clear.
Suddenly I am having muscles soreness in a few random spots on my body. It started in the heels of my feet, it isn't my whole foot, just one particular spot by the heel. I haven't bought new shoes or anything recently, or been standing anymore than usual. It is the exact same spot on both feet, and there does not appear to be any bruising or anything. This started about a week ago. A day or so after, my right shoulder started hurting very badly.
The other chiropractor, did some tests on nerves and reflexes and x-rays, some adjustments on my neck, upper back and low back. said i have transitional vetebrae defect, 5L. and Rt Lumbar Scoliosis, short Rt Leg, and straight cervical spine, my neck spine is too straight and it should be curved. Cost $421, wants me to go back everyday for a week and then as adjustments needed.
6 weeks ago I woke up with a really sore upper back and pain under my right shoulder blade. The pain is now down my tricep and along my outer forearm into my ring and pinky finger. The pain is not constant but really hurts when it does. Sometime the triecp and forearm hurt more than the upper back. I have full range of motion and no weakness. It hurts worst when driving or sitting at my computer.
My mom is disabled unable to stand or walk so she is either sitting in her wheelchair or laying in bed on her back. She has extremely tight painful back muscles which makes it hard for her to breathe she never has any relief, is going to pt but they can't help her. They think it is from her rounded shoulders but they haven't done anything for it.
Can the sinusitis cause my eye pain and sore and weak neck muscles? An eye specialist could not say anything about the eye pain. There is cataract in my left eye, but no glaucoma or other diseases, checked in early December. A neurologic specialist did not find any cause for my eye pain. I know that I have cervical dystonia, but I think that there may be another cause in addition to dystonia.
One doctor has suggested a viral infection as a cause of my eye pain. Can it last for months?
Numbness in my left lower leg

I just read your 11/13 comment and I have only one thing to say about Botox in the neck...NEVER AGAIN! I had 4 injections and not only did I have the worst head and neck ache but landed in the hospital from severe dehydration from "going from both ends". I hope I never get that sick again. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that it helped but I wasn't one of them. I sure hope you are feeling better by now.
There is a good chance that you have activated a trigger point in your digastric muscle.
It's helpful to understand the anatomy & physiology of your tongue - the muscles in the front of your neck, the digastric, suprahyoid & infrahyoid, and the anterior vertebral muscles and the nerves that supply them.
I have been to my dentist for sensitive teeth and am getting a nighttime occlusion splint to prevent teeth grinding/clenching. I also have a sore jaw, mild neck pain and headaches, occasional blocked ears (As if they need to pop). The dentist did this thing called a "parachute test" thats supposed to test reflexes or something and thought i seemed weak.
