Common Questions and Answers about Back acne sun

acne

Avatar m tn He has stopped swimming, stopped using any acne regiment, skipped any fun in the sun this summer, and sits in the dark. He has been diagnosed with a mild rosacea, is negative for lupus. We have gone to a couple of dermatologists, esthetician, and now we are at the SFMC (medical panel). Is there any way to relieve the pain with a topical cream? Is there anything that can help my son. There is no evidence of rash, hives, raised bumps....just an unhappy teenager.
Avatar f tn Always check with your doctor if you have any issues. I can't say it any better. But I wouldn't worry about being in the car or opening the blinds. I personally, and this is just me, if I really loved the sun, would find a different way to deal with my acne assuming you haven't exhausted all other avenues of doing that. When I was young, doctors used to give us tetracycline for acne, which also caused sun sensitivity. Of course, they never told us that.
Avatar f tn t want to have it exposed to the sun for long periods of time and would want to avoid sun exposure.Scars are particularly sensitive to sunlight and can sunburn faster than healthy skin, according to the American Academy of Dermatology. Once a scar becomes sunburned, it can remain discolored or darkened and may not fade back to match the color of your healthy skin. For that reason, you would want to avoid the sun, wear protective clothing, and wear sun screen to protect your scar/skin.
Avatar n tn Today and ever since my red is nose and very sensitive to sun. Whenever I go out on sun with proper sun screen it always gets sunburn and gets ever more red. When you touch it seems really dry. Can you please tell me if red color of the skin will ever go away? Is there any treatment available that will help me and bring my nose color and texture to normal condition? Im active person and I cant imagine life without going to beach and be on sun.
Avatar f tn I am a 30 year old woman who got off the pill 2 years ago. I have VERY BAD acne and rashing on my back. Its horrible. Its embarrassing, its painful... its embarrassing! Sometimes the bumps will pop while Im leaning on something and leave a puss mark and blood on my shirt! I havent swam or worn a tank top in 2 years. I have tried, litterally, everything. I wash up after every workout. I have switched shampoos, conditioners, laundry detergents, ance washes.
Avatar f tn So I went through puberty when I was 14 I grew 5 inches in one year and had typical acne it went away once I was done growing and I've had nice skin since then. So once I graduated I was 5'7'' its been 6 months and I recently got a face chest and back covered in acne and I've grown another half inch. Is this even possible for me to be going through this again?? and now the acne is twice as hard to get rid of. I do what I did before but my T zones are out of control.
Avatar m tn A couple years ago I was put on a cream that noticeably decreased and practically eradicated the acne I had. The cream contained adapelene, however, it was eventually taken off my insurance and became far too expensive. I used this cream in the winter, and as such I never had to worry about the risk of sun exposure with it. Recently I was told that Differin became over the counter, and worked well for acne. I didn't really know what was in it at the time, but it worked phenomenally!

Avatar n tn I am 42 and I have never had any acne or facial issues. Over the last month I keep getting blisters on my chin, my cheeks, under my hair in the back of my neck. What is this from?
Avatar n tn It might be irritation, back acne, etc. Try to keep the area clean and dry. Wash your back well in the shower and after sports try to change to less sweaty clothes. That should help with the problem.
Avatar f tn However, does retinol help to fade somewhat or make them less noticeable? What about sun damage - sun spots and pigmentation issues? I have very fair skin and am paying the price all around. Thank you!!!
Avatar m tn Alright, so I have always had a fair amount of backne. It gets worse and it gets better every month or so. Sometimes I have none, others I have huge bumps that are typically under the skin and never the typical white head. Anyway my two questions are 1) Any idea why I have backne and not so much other acne? Something I eat? Hair products I use? I've been told many a thing..
Avatar f tn I have had acne treatment by roaccutance nearly 2 yrs back...although i have a dark complexion but i have an uneven skin tone. It is darker around lips and forehead and sort of lighter on my cheeks, where there are acne scars ....Is there some thing that can give me an even tone.
Avatar f tn I live in the UK and I feel whenever I go away on holiday my face clears up and as soon as I come home all the spots come back again. And I wonder why this is? I know it might be down to the sun and in England we dont get much sunshine, so going away on holiday is always a nice thing because my face clears up and I don't wear to much make up, if any! But as soon as I hit the ground of the England they come back, and I dont know why?

Avatar f tn For over 7 years I have been getting a rash on my chest, back and now forehead with sun exposure. It is multiple tiny red bumps and whiteheads, not itchy. Onset is usually 24-48 hrs after sun exposure and lasts approx 4-5 days. I have gone to several dermatologists who give me creams for (rosecea, ploymorphic light eruption, allergy, etc.) Nothing works. I have had a full autoimmune work up as well- with all tests being negative.
1364054 tn?1346005167 Hello, Adaplene is a topical retinoid primarily used in the treatment of mild-moderate acne. Adapalene controls acne but does not cure it. Medications similar to adapalene have caused tumors in laboratory animals who were given the medications and exposed to real or artificial sunlight. It is not known whether adapalene increases the risk of tumors in humans. But it is advisable to protect yourself from sunlight and sunlamps while taking adapalene. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
559187 tn?1330782856 I found out from the MS nurse that the rash I have all over my face, neck, and back is a side effect of my IV Solu-Medrol treatment and the taper dose of prednisone and is not a rash at all, but is acne. I thought the rash was from my sun exposure while in Mexico earlier this week and that the steroids were probably the culprit. So that was half right. But the nurse said it was acne yet it feels more like a rash to me.

Avatar m tn treatment for acne. It is reserved for patients with severe acne which has not responded to other treatments, or who have relapsed after discontinuing therapy. It has many potential side effects but this must be balanced against the fact that 80% of patients experience long term remission from acne after one course lasting 16-24 weeks. Eloise.
Avatar n tn Starting a year ago i started to get acne. I know thats normal, but alnog with the acne, my face began to burn like a sun burn. now, a year later, not a moment goes by when my face does not burn. Although it burns and is red all the time, certian triggers make it worse. laughing, eating watching tv, heat, meeting new people. Sometimes it will just burn for no reason. i have gone to numerous doctors and dermatologists but no on knows whats wrong. alnog with this, my acne just keeps getting worse.
Avatar n tn Sun spots or lentigines, are harmless, flat, brown discolorations of the skin which usually occur on the back of the hands, neck and face of people older than 40 years of age. They are caused by the skin being exposed to the sun over many years and are a sigh of sun damage. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
Avatar f tn i have been using acne products on it, which sounds like the wrong thing to do! Also I find the sun can be helpful for my acne, so was planning a marathon sunbathe (I know not great for me, but the acne is horrible)...sounds like that will only make it worse...How do I find the culprit? Sweat dermatitis? Reaction to drugs? I've got a recommendation in the works to a derm but no appointment date set. Thank so much!
Avatar n tn Hi everyone, Two weekends ago (march 26th) I decided to lay out and get a little bit of sun. I struggle with acne and my face had finally got about 90% clear, so i figured this would be a good time to get some sun of my face bc i wouldn't have to wear makeup to cover up my acne.
Avatar n tn It is important to keep in the shade and to wear appropriate clothing, eg sun hats, sunglasses with proper UV protection and clothing material that doesn’t allow the sun through easily. A sunscreen with a high sun protection factor (SPF) is important. With regards to your back, these spots could be due to tinea versicolor, a fungal infection that may respond well to over-the-counter anti-fungal medication. If it persists, have these evaluated further bu a dermatologist for proepr management.
