Avatar f tn I've always eaten healthy but the last year or so I have really buckled down and paid very close attention to what I've been eating and of been exercising on a pretty disciplined regimen. Avatar n tn I know that is common, so I tweeked my diet and upped my gym sessions...lost a ton of weight, and for some reason I kept on loosing even when I started eating like crap. I originally started taking it for acne by the way and I was 17 at the time of taking it. Acne cleared and I dropped weight after 4 months, I reached 100 pounds. I quit taking it due to side effects (looking anorexic, headache, hairloss. . . etc.etc.

My skin also gets pretty oily throughout the day. It all started in my mid-twenties, I never had a lot of problems with my skin before. It also developed at the same time I started to develop symptoms of IBS-C, which I have seen several doctors about. All blood tests I've had come back normal.

Avatar f tn Hi ya'll, I am a 26 year old female who a year ago started getting horrible facial acne but only on the cheeks and in the past year has experienced a unexplained 10 pound weight gain with no changes to her diet. I do work out more then I used to but the weight gain is all in the stomach and uneffected with exercise or diet. A year later doctors tell me " I'm 26 my metabolism has slowed down. " and that was my PCP, gynecologist, and a gastro doctor.

This past week, its spread to my lower back and upper butt, and the top of my stomach. Avatar m tn re drinking plenty of water and eating a healthy diet. Water will flush your skin and organs of toxins that may be causing the acne. It will take about three weeks for water and vitamins to really take effect on your body. Another potential factor is that your body may becoming intolerant to wheat or gluten (yes, it can develop later in life and not necessarily as a child). You may want to start cutting back on wheat or gluten products to see if this may be the cause.
Avatar n tn Yes, I had mild acne when I was younger and my dermatologist gave me Accutane, a few months later I was in severe abdominal pain, fever, very weak and ended up in the emergency room originally diagnosed with appendicitis only to find out my appendix was perfect at which point they found the diseased portion of the small intestine and diagnosed me with Crohn's. Initially, I had frequent flare ups and was constantly under medication, but slowly and with the help of the Famous Dr.
Avatar m tn I get temporary relief and it comes back. I would give a testicle to get away from acne. I have prayed, I have did meditation and all sorts of things. I finally gave up on nutrition and organics after spending $125/hr on a natural pathic doctor. I have seen a dermatologist and took a topical and antibitoics when all else failed. I continued eating healthy and dieting but, here I am again, with this ****.
