Avatar f tn Is any one from the UK?
Avatar f tn m trying to sleep I put on a hot patch on my back last night nd I slept like a baby first time sleeping good in almost a month. .
Avatar f tn I have been prescribed benzodiazepines for anxiety and panic related disorders (& occasioally BZD Hypnotics for sleep though only midazolam, quazepam, flunitrazepam and the inducers triazolam and brotizolam seem to work. Temazepam in high dosage helps nicely but UK NHS tablet form is useless, seeming around one quarter the strength of liquid filled Normison gelcaps and even Restoril powder capsules - docs are reluctant to prescribe 40mL oral solution which is the only effctive UK form.
Avatar f tn Sorry no I can't sleep and the baby I'm carring is really active at night
Avatar f tn I know this is partly my bodies way of getting me used to no sleep once our baby comes but I desperately need sleep!! I wont mind not sleeping once the baby is here bc then atleast there will be a reason im up but for now this no sleep isnt cutting it haha. Im constantly in a bad mood and mad at him for getting peaceful sleep all night (stupid i know, I blame the hormones lol) I usually sleep until about midnight and then pretty much awake the rest of the night.
2062192 tn?1333714423 Iv got one of the pregnancy pillows but it dosnt seem to be helping at the moment. I cant sleep on my back (my body has never let me sleep on my back for as long as I can remember), and the only position I see to get comfy on is on my tummy but coked up slightly on my right side with my knee helping to prop my side up a little but I move a lot in my sleep and every time I change positions I wake up feeling a bit sick and get a slight pain in my abdomen.
Avatar f tn i moved today too i fell asleep for like 30 mins and now i cant sleep. i even took a hot shower and used that nightime baby shampoo and body wash.
327369 tn?1326119908 How many of you struggle with sleep problems even when you seem to be medicated properly? Just sick of it here and needing to vent. I sleep so great some nights and others it is a struggle.....I am either wired, heart is palpitating, etc. and then I get anxious because I cannot sleep and know that I will be tired at work the next day. I have some xanex that helps sometimes and I have tried melatonin but nothing is great at helping me. I do not like lunesta or ambien because of side effects.
1705773 tn?1326480274 Inability to sleep could be problems with initiating sleep or maintaining sleep is called insomnia. Anxiety can cause insomnia. And lack of sleep can also cause anxiety and this becomes a vicious cycle. Problems with breathing (Obstructive sleep apnea), certain medications, restless leg movements and sleep walking/talking could also contribute to insomnia. You should stop becoming anxious and try to relax. Try to have a warm bath before sleeping.
Avatar f tn Btw glad there are some UK Mums on here. Most ladies are from US. I'm Australian but residing in UK.
1450627 tn?1296616593 I am not having any problems getting to sleep its just waking up a hundred times that gets to me. I sleep with a body pillow and every time that I roll over (which is very frequently) I have to readjust so its just as comfy as the other side. Plus, I am getting up 2-3 times a night to pee. Sometimes I try and hold it because im too tired to get out of bed but when I do that I cant fall back asleep with a full bladder anyways. I agree with the other person who said to try and sleep alone.
584338 tn?1226971604 My husband has severe back problems and as a result has been on a very high dose of oxycontin for 2 1/2 years (640mg a day). Under advice by the GP and pain clinic he is now currently tapering down from this dose, due to the high addiction of this drug and that they believe it is no longer helping the back pain. Anyway, to get to the problem.

557490 tn?1326793583 Your welcome elmo. :) It WILL get easier. Margypops, I was not indicating you said to let her cry it out. What you said was correct. I was referring to cheschchesch819 who said, "if you find it hard to ignore your baby ask for help and leave the house for a few hours." I realize different cultures, different countries, etc. Many people use this technique with success....
