If I was unable to breastfeed I woulkd give my little one goats milk fo rsure which is most like breast milk then any other milk on th emarket. Hope this helps ya!
Avatar f tn Could be allergy or intolerance to milk, that's what it was for my son. Test for food allergy AND milk protein peptides showing up in the urine, indicating enzyme deficiency in breaking down milk protein. Is he irritable or occasionally spike fevers for no reason? My sons weight was in the 10th percentile and I went to the doctor from the time he was 10 months old for that and his emotional coping problems. I thought they must somehow be related, but was told no.
Avatar f tn t like drinking milk much either, so I go for a lot of yogurt, butter, cheese and such. If you have a dairy allergy look for calcium-fortified juices or soy products. A lot of dark green leafy veggies -- collard greens, kale, bok choy, etc -- are also high calcium.
Avatar n tn t know what geotrichum is, but I do know that many processed milk products have sulfites in them, including powdered milk, yogurt (which has powdered milk in it) and cheese. Then, of course, there is the fermenting process necessary for making things like cheese that gets into the various mold varieties that make cheese bad for people with migraine issues.
621803 tn?1302888341 Anyone know the difference between the baby yogurt and normal yogurt? Is there a difference at all? I know there's a difference in price, and for some reason the baby yogurt isn't refridgerated, but that's all I can find. Is it ok to give my son the normal yogurt? He's 8 1/2 months old, and eating finger foods, and stage 3 baby food.
Avatar m tn I believe that they have an allergy to milk. It seems like everytime we give them some form of milk, ice cream, yogurt, it seems to make their nose run and cough. for example last night we gave our 21month old ice cream for a dessert after supper. Shes goes to bed at 7:30pm and by 10pm she was up coughing. She didnt have any ice cream the night before and was never up coughing.. Same goes for our 5 year old give any type of milk before bed, 99% of the time she is up coughing.
Avatar f tn My allergies almost went away when I quit drinking milk. I did not stop all dairy to get the effect. Just stopped milk and yogurt.
7697210 tn?1393875868 Anybody else addicted to yogurt?OmG the harvest peach is my ultimate flavor.I dont like milk other than drinking it with my cereal so i have to get calcium in other ways. Its crazy because before my pregnancy i couldn't stand the texture or tast of yogurt and now i eat about two a day.
Avatar f tn I don't regular milk either. It has to have chocolate syrup or I just don't have it. To make sure I have enough calcium, I eat yogurt and a cheese snack.
Avatar n tn Some people cannot have any dairy products at all yet some can tolerate cheese, yogurt but no milk (Some people can tolerate skim milk but not whole milk). Most people with lactose intolerance have loose bowels to diarrhea after eating dairy products and have mild to severe (depending on how much they eat) abdominal pains. Suggest having your son tested by an Allergist so you know if he has an allergy or just intolerance.
Avatar n tn The past few months I've been having problems with headaches where it feels like the sinuses around my eyes are swelling up (but they're not doing so enough that it's visible). Sometimes there is pain at the back of my eyes, and sometimes a bit of nausea, sometimes pain at the back of the head too. It is kind of like a migraine-lite. It becomes harder to focus my eyes, and reading becomes uncomfortable, not due to blurred vision but trouble focusing on small objects for long.
Avatar n tn There are other alternatives other than regular dairy milk-there is the soy, rice, and almond milk. I would ask your doctor about using these instead. I also would not give her peanut butter yet this is a common allergy food. hope this is helpful (by the way lactose intolernace is not an allergy and a different test would need to be done to determine that.
Avatar f tn I've always been allergic (not lactose intolerance) to milk since I was born. Now at 5 weeks all I want to eat is milk and things made from milk. Does this mean my baby isn't allergic to milk? Or my allergy for milk going away since I'm pregnant? Or just being pregnant cravings? I don't want to drink milk thinking I'm not allergic and get sick. Help please?

Avatar m tn This means that someone with a cows’ milk allergy might react to these other types of milk as well.Confirmation that your baby will react to these products or not can be done only after blood tests. Hope it helps. If you have any additional queries, then pls post us. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn now that he is on solids he drinks organic whole milk and eats cheese, yogurt, etc.) He doesn;t have any other allergy symptons other than the acne though...
Avatar f tn When I stopped drinking milk and eating yogurt and almost eliminated dairy, I stopped needing antihistamines for hayfever.. Dairy is a common one. I now only have mild symptoms a few days a year!
Avatar f tn Afterwards I realized that I had some bumps in my mouth that came out almost instantaneously. I have always drunk soymilk since I was a baby. I find this extremely odd. Is it possible that Im allergic to soymilk?
Avatar n tn I always choose fruits and vegetables and hummus etc and he has diluted juice and oat milk to drink. I now have a new baby and am back to no salt at all in his diet. I suddenly thought about how much my older child could have and the guidelines say only 2g. I have seen that this is only 1/3 of a teaspoon and have started to think about the fact that I do add a sprinkle of salt when making meals from sctratch for everyone in the family.
470885 tn?1326329037 First of all, I apologize if this seems like a silly question - my oldest son (now 4 years old) didn't have yogurt until he was well over a year old. I've been thinking about how to add variety (and extra good fats) to my younger son (8 months nearly 9 months old)'s diet due to the fact that he's a bit on the small side and slow to gain weight - but healthy - and I thought that maybe I could start giving him a bit of yogurt now and then.
