Avatar f tn Same thing going on with my 7 day old baby girl. I called her doc and he said first try a gentle tummy massage about 2 fingertips below the belly button. If that doesn't work try 1/2 oz of prune juice mixed with 1/2oz of water, and lastly try the q-tip with vaseline. My baby went with the prune juice but I had to give her two doses of that. I only recently read about bicycling the legs so I didn't try that but that might be an option you'd want to try first as well.

Avatar f tn I would strongly recommend consulting your Dr before giving baby anything to help with constipation, especially because in a baby that young constipation is not very common.

1184961 tn?1292574076 Yes & it does help, only it's expensive. My husband has been unemployed for 2 years so we have to cut back on expenses. I do get the massages when I can though. I wish I could get them on a regular basis. I failed to say that I also havae fibromyalgia so the massages does wonders for that when I can get them regularly. I haev 2 friends who are massage therapists who do give me discounts right now, so I am blessed in that respect. Thanks for reminding me of this.

7758733 tn?1402589420 Stitches were the worst part of labor and pregnancy combined, I know they say there are exercises or techniques to help prevent tears. Please tell me how! I ripped with my son 15 months ago and it will still hurt after sex so I feel more than likely to rip this time around. Which blows so I want to prepare.
Avatar n tn Hi, Headaches are a side effect of the drug clomid and this can be very severe and distressing at times. Temporary relief can sometimes be obtained by applying cold packs to the head or by massage or pressing in front of the ear on the painful side of the head. Stress management techniques, such as relaxation and massage, can also help limit pain. For relief of pain drugs like aspirin, acetaminophen or paracetemol can be used.
Avatar f tn I have been told degree 1 or degree 2 for the rectocele depending on the gyneco I have seen. As constipation is very bad I am going to have some testing done but it will be in a couple of weeks as I am only 3 months post-delivery of a baby. My Physiotherapist mentioned to me that she doesn't think that my rectum has herniate in my vagina but that my posterior wall is really floppy, damaged by childbirth and muscles very weak.
Avatar n tn There are also massage techniques that can help with BMs. I have been lucky with all three pregnancies to not have any morning sickness etc. Good luck and feel better.

Avatar n tn I did not develop Lymphodema after my cancer treatment but because I was having radiation to the bowel, I was seeing a physio for prevention techniques to stop it happening and if it did happen how to manage it. (I had my pelvic lymph nodes removed during my hysterectomy). If you see your doctor and get him to refer you to a physiotherapist that is experienced in lymphatic drainage massage they will be able to show you and treat you with massage that you can actually do at home.
