Drink more water. Azo helps & cranberry juice to make it go away. Uti = urinary tract infection, can be common in pregnancy. Check if azo regular is an approved med. It was on the first list my ob gave me. Thought I lost it so asked for another, azo wasn't on the 2nd list.

Ive had it for about a week now the first few days i was so sick i couldnt keep any fluids down to help flush it out but for the past four I've been drinking allot of fluids and taking some azo like my doctors said and there closed for the weekend what can i do please help

Uti's have been a normal occurence in my life, and usually I would take some azo, get on some antibiotics and it would be gone for a while at least. Well I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I have been plagued with one well 8 weeks pregnant with my first child. My only problem is I am not sure how to address it and at this point am looking for any suggestions to help me rid myself of this nuisance and keep it away. Thank you in advance.

I’m currently in my two week wait with implantation and trying to get pregnant. I think I currently have a UTI. Is it safe to take azo or meds used to treat a UTI while trying to conceive? Will it interfere with implantation?

When I have a yeast infection my doctor gives me Diflucan, it relieves the itch and all the nasty things to come with a yeast infection in like a hour and it is safe to take durring pregnancy.... It is only 1 pill so no messy creams. I would call your local 24 hour pharmacy... Walgreens and ask the pharmicist..

I had a horrible yeast infection last month that lasted a whole week! Prior to pregnancy, I had only ever had a yeast infection once, and it was antibiotic caused, so I discontinued the antibiotics and it went away almost immediately (within a day or so!)! Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to get rid of it faster that monistat? It is AWFUL!

ll take one when I start to feel a burning sensation, but even the recommended those of two. Before my pregnancy these AZO pills were a God send because it would clean out my urinary tract of any bacteria and I would be good to go. Cranberry juice is hard on my stomach and makes me feel sick if I down it like they say to prevent infection. Even the light kind. I'm reading yes take them then no don't take them on google.

Is it safe to take azo? I'm 7 weeks & this is my 3rd uti in a month , I'm in a lot of pain. I took macrobid 3 days, then 2 weeks later took macrobid for 7 days. Now I have another uti & it's the weekend & don't want to pay an urgent care bill. Can I take azo maximum strength?

Azo Cranberry, AZO regular and Azo Yeast are all awesome. Azo yeast is the best thing ever created for yeast infections.

I have consulted my OB about this (I'm 19 weeks pregnant) and she recommended Monistat or other over the counter treatments, so I would say it is safe to use during pregnancy. I haven't used it yet, though. She also recommended getting the 3- or 7-day ones because the 1-day might not be as effective. Hope this helps.

If you do use the AZO and do go to the DR tell them you are taking it so they can get an accurate reading on your test. Sometimes the AZO shows up in a UA as something it's not. If you have any questions please ask me. I seriously have had more UTI's than anyone in this life ever should have. I tried to remember everything I could about this lovely condition. I hope it helps...or at least was a good read.

Oh and stop taking the azo. I also don't know if you'll be able to test because of the doxy either. Usually they recommend waiting 2 weeks from taking antibiotics to test, but if you have a discharge, they might be able to test that.

that azo thing in walmart and ALOT OF WATER!! i had enough of utis!! so i decided to drink pill and drink ALOT of gatorade! it helped so much!

Are you drinking a lot of water? You have to stay hydrated. I had a little burning occasionally earlier in my pregnancy, I'm 38 weeks now, but when it occurred I would always start drinking more water & it stopped for new. Good luck!

I would also suggest azo an cranberry juice too ...the acid in the cranberry makes a highly acidic environment so the bacteria can't hold on an gets flushed out..Also up your yogurt intake an get the good bacteria goin ...

OK, so I'm freaking out bigtime! I finally got my cb digi opk smiley this morning , so we bd'd twice today and o just woke up with painful (very) urinating. So stupidly, I took OTC AZO for urinary pain, and I'm freaking out that I may have taken them and they could prevent me from getting the job done :( please if anyone knows that AZO won't (or will) my chances of getting pg, please let me know so I don't feel like I could be the reason for this not being our month.

There are no benefits doing that, just more adverse effects. In fact in Europe for uncomplicated utis ibuprofen 3-4 times a day is considered the only medication needed. Get well soon!
