I believe I caught it 2 weeks previous when I slept with a new guy. My symptoms were uti Symptoms and a bit of yellowish discharge. I took 1000 mg of azithromycin, but it seemed to do nothing. I called and got sent macrobid thinking it was a lingering uti caused by the chlamydia. This also did nothing. I went back to a clinic and got retested positive for chlamydia again 2 weeks later. Took azithromycin again with no relief.
The culture DID NOT grow any of the regular bacteria associated with UTI. He instructed me to stop with the Bactrim and take the azithromycin 1mg x1.
I'm going back in a week to get another urinalysis done. I'm freaking out a little bit though and thinking worst case scenarios. This past week my GF developed what appears to be a stomach flu. What if this is HSV-2 or even worse HIV and I gave it to her? Sorry it is my personality.
Doctor immediately put me on Metronidazole and single dose of Azithromycin. Before I started the treatments, there was white discharge and fishy odor but no urge to constantly pee even after I had just emptied my bladder. After treatments, the discharge and odor has gone away but I now have a constant urge to pee and when I go to pee it’s very little and there is very slight burning. Is it possible that the azithromycin didn’t work or is this possibly a UTI?
It it that have taken azithromycin with is to cure chalmydia and gonnerea and not for UTI? How effective is it for UTI

s and started experiencing symptoms such a urethral burning and pain while urinating several months ago. I took Macrobid that I already had at home assuming it was a UTI. The symptoms seemed to come and go. They worsened around April, and I was diagnosed with chlamydia. I'm not sure when I contracted, but I believe it's possible I had it for a few months before being diagnosed.
At the time i had a sinus infection and completed a course of Azithromycin. The Azithromycin did not clear the sinus infection so i was put on Cefdinir at 300 mg twice a day for one week. My hope was that if i had anything one of these two antibiotics would clear it up. Yesterday i went to doctor due to still having the burning after urination. I was given a pee test and then prescibed 10 days of Cipro 500 mg twice a day.
I'm 23 years old, 1/22/18 I tested positive for Chlamydia after experiencing UTI like symptoms and was prescribed 2 azithromycin 500 mg tablets from planned parenthood. Symptoms disappeared but then reappeared 3 months later and I returned and tested positive again and was pescribed doxycycline 100mg tabs once a day for 7 days. After treatment my symptoms continued to persist and I worried that I was still not cured.
About a week ago, I started having burning and pain when I peed, so I went to the doctor suspecting a UTI. They told me that I did not have sufficent nitrates in my urine to say it was a UTI so they gave me a pap and told me they thought it was either Chlamydia or Gonorrhea.
They perscribed a single dose of 500mg Cipro and 4 250mg (1000mg) of Azithromycin (I could be spelling that wrong).
I found out I had chlamydia in April after going to the doctor for what I thought seemed like UTI symptoms. I was given azithromycin in the drink form. Me and my boyfriend both drank the meds, abstained from sex for 8 days, and symptoms seemed to be cured.
In the past month or so I started noticing that the symptoms seemed to be returning. The only symptoms I have ever experienced were burning in the vagina and urethra. I went back to the dr again. Negative for a UTI, positive chlamydia.
It's a positive test. And azithromycin is the antibiotic or chlamydia.
I still have pain in my right kidney that I usually have with chronic UTI. I am taking Cipro now for E. facelis but infection will not go away. It is too the point I don't want to have intercourse with my husband. Also did two months of oral macrobid and clarithomycin both I and my husband. Don't know what to do please advise. Chronic UTI have been present since four days into our marriage, always after intercourse times eleven years. I am allergic to sulfa and pcn.
I went to the doctor and he said it might be an infection of my urnairy tract system he prescribed me azithromycin 6 day medication. I think my anxiety is making it worst or overthinking. Does anyone feel the same?

I recently started a 5 day course of zithromax for a possible sinus infection. I took the first 2 pills on Wed 6/19. However because of my gf recently getting a UTI following sex i began to think one of us had Chlamydia or Gonorhea. Her symptoms were that of a UTI and her urine culture confirmed this. However i got tested for Chlamydia or Gonorhea Thursday 6/20 and the results came back negative. I was only on the first dose of Zpak for about 12 hours. Would this skew the test results?
I was tested for Chlamydia which came back positive, My doctor gave me the one dose of Azithromycin . Its been a two weeks since I took the pills, and I'm having loose stools which it hasn't stop since I took the pose. Also I have a burning sensation on my vagina when I pee. About a week ago I had some white little dots on my vagina which have dissapear. My doctor says I have a UTI. But im still worried that It may be something else. The clinic that I went to gave me 1gram of Azithromycin and I was sent on my way. Within 2 days all my symptoms cleared up and I felt like everything was normal. Fast forward to now and once again I have a clear/milky discharge. I have no itching this time and when I urinate it only burns a little sometimes, but no where near the pain I experienced a month ago. I also am experiencing some uncomfortable feelings in my testicles and lower abdomen.
So, something is up, this is not normal. I have been doing a little reading on std and uti sites and now I am really confused. To sum it up there is no discharge, lumps, bumps, blisters, or anything except the numbness, tingling, is starting to have a very faint hint of redness around the top and head and the little blood vein on the left does appear to be a little darker.
I'm 21 years old and pretty healthy besides getting frequent UTI's and yeast infections after sexual intercourse. For the past 2 weeks, I've had symptoms of a UTI. I've had plenty UTI's in the past, so I know what they feel like. My symptoms over the past few days have progressed and gotten much worse, so I decided to go an Urgent Care today. I took a shot of ceftriaxzone and a does of azithromycin and metronidizole. My test for chlamydia, trichomoniasis, and gonorrhea came back negative and 3 days later my symptoms persisted.
Went 9 days thinking had uti. Went to er. Ran blood tests and did ct. I have crohns. Dr said everythinf came back fine on bloodwork and ct. Said only thing would be is std. Gave me the ceftriaxone 250 through iv and 4 pills of the azithromycin. Its been 5 days nearly and symptoms are still there. The tip has gotten more red than it was especially where its dripped after I urinate. The burn is still there from time to time especially when I wake in the morning or if I'm not drinking fluids.
So, in late July of 2017 I was tested positive for chlamydia after having suspectible symptoms. s had one known UTI two weeks after my exposure / Doc prescribed her Cipro (5 days), her UTI cleared, but now it seems like every week or so she's complaining about a "funny feeling" when she urinates. Not a full blown UTI, but an awareness down there that she's not use to. She seems to just drink a lot of water and it feels better for about a week or so, then it comes back.. (the "awareness").
Then a month later I had an oral sex with other friend, then i feel urge to urinate after that day. I went to a doctor and had my urinalysis and she said that i have an slight uti. She ordered me to take cipro 500mg twice a day for one week.. The burning urination dissapear, but testicular pain occurs.. I went again to a doctor and advice me to wear not fited underwear and it was effective, my testicular pain dissapears.... After one month another friend gave me an oral job.
