Avatar f tn usually any side effects to the medications, disappear after a week or two on suppressive therapy odds are it's the herpes itself and your body fighting it that is making you drowsy, not the medication.

Avatar n tn thanks! i tried all your suggestions and there hasn't been any pain since. i'm still experiencing mild diarrhea but i guess i'm one of the unlucky 5% who experience side effects from azithromycin. thanks so much!
610505 tn?1329603723 They subsided after about a week. Oh yeah, and the constipation! yuck! The side effects you are experiencing are most likely caused by the Sub, it's different for different people. Have you read the pamphlet that came with the RX?
Avatar f tn I've been taking abilify for about 6 months now and I'm up to 20mg a day. It seems to be working but I'm not having the drowsy side effects that you speak of, but then I do take my bipolar meds at night, which seems to decrease any sleepiness I might have. Also my doctor prescribed a medication called Provigil to help counteract the drowsiness caused by my medications because I do take several and all of them may cause drowsiness.
Avatar f tn org/drugs-supplements/azithromycin-oral-route/side-effects/drg-20072362 suggests that white spots on the lips are a rare side effect of azithromycin. I really hope that is causing it.

2010625 tn?1329372056 After I have been awake for a while they have slowly went away I am still a tiny bit dizzy, and drowsy still after 2 cups of coffee I just feel like I am not waking up still feel half asleep. Does anyone know if these side effects are serious or if it is something that will go away as I get use to the medication. I know I should be asking my doctor these questions but it is the weekend and my doctor is not in his office until Monday.
Avatar f tn org/posts/STDs---STIs/Are-these-Azithromycin-and-Ciprofloxacin-side-effects/show/2996010# gardnerella also factor into the white tongue/lump in throat etc. (in addition to the antibiotics)? I cannot find a whole lot of information about gardnerella in men. On a side note, I am assuming the gardnerella was the cause of inflammation since I had tested negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea.
653169 tn?1303446369 ve been told the start up side effects on Neurontin are about the same as Lyrica and it took me a little less than a week for that sleepy dopey feeling to subside, and after that I felt ABSOLUTELY normal- like I hadn't taken anything whatsoever. You are on a very SMALL dose, so you'll adjust to it quickly. I'll tell you a funny story- my first week on Lyrica- I accidentally backed out of my garage when the garage door was only half way open.
Avatar m tn Facial rashes, night sweats and the closing of my throat. That is when I stopped using Bactrim. All other side effects are gone except for the closing of my throat that comes on and off, especially when I'm done eating. It's been going on for 2 weeks (since my last bactrim dose). It doesn't make my breathing or eating any difficult but is just very annoying. It stopped for 2 days and happened one late night, 2-3 hours after drinking alcohol.
Avatar f tn I'm 20w3days and still suffering from nausea /vomiting. Dr.gave script for sublingal meds. Has anyone taken this? I'm.nervous even though dr.gave it. Any side effects. I haven't taken yet.
Avatar f tn Anyway, I was prescribed Lyrica and have been taking it for about 3 weeks. Before I started taking the medication, I researched all of the (horrible) side effects but have not really experienced any yet at 75 mg. twice a day. If anyone has taken Lyrica and experienced side effects, did they usually begin shortly after you started to take the medication or did they take awhile to kick in?
Avatar m tn asked doctor today, he said could be the azithromycin, give it a couple of days.... however that is not on the side effects list of the azithromycin..... is this related to my ulcer... and what the hell is the cause of my ulcer if it is not syphilis and hsv... and so far azithromycin has not had the healing effect the doc said?
