I have also developed allot of spots on my chest and face and a few single spots around hair follicles else where on my body.
i am noticing a light rash with red spots on my arms. could this be a reaction to the azithromycin i took? what does u gut suggest when i describe the symptoms?please help. i should have gone to the doctor when the symptoms first broke out but for embarassment, i dint. i live in the US.
Saturday i went to the doctor because i woke up and it hurt to swallow and talk the doctor gave me azithromycin and guaifenesin. i took the first 2 pills of the azithromycin and i was fine the next day i took the next one and later that day i got really itchy. well i stopped taking them and started taking benadryl cause i figured i got an allergic reaction to it.
I went to the campus health center where they did a urine test, and it came back a few days later positive for chlamydia. They put me on azithromycin (4 pills, one dose) and told me symptoms should be gone in a week. The burning urination was almost gone, but after a week, was still somewhat there, and the urethra seems very swollen. I have noticed thick white discharge not very often, but nonetheless still present.
I was prescribed doxycycline for ureaplasma infection and developed a red, itchy rash over my face and body with the first dose. My doctor switched me to azithromycin, which I took without problems. A few months later the infection is back, and the doctor wants to try minocyline instead. I got a itchy rash on my chin and my neck and arms are somewhat itchy after one dose. Am I experiencing allergies to these drugs or just side effects? Should I avoid tetracyclines?
I went out of the country last weeked and I picked up 14 pills of Azithromycin. My questions are is 1G of Azithromycin enough for both, someone suggested I do 1G single does and then on 500mg tab for two days?
Is that over kill ? I'd rather do more then less. Any thoughts would be welcome...

I went to a second doctor and he told me that I might have a STD (Chlamydia or gonnarhea) due to the burning sensation(Not while urinating). He prescribed me an azithromycin 1g. I had him take a look at the rash or whatever it is and he said that it is in the are where most herpes outbreaks occur but it does not look like herpes and since I didnt have any lesions that should not be concerned at all and that it could probably be from friction.
I used hydrocotisone cream which helped my scotum after a few days and took 1.5 gram azithromycin and later 3 grams amoxicllin (just to be safe from chylmd and gonn). After 3 weeks from initial contact, the head of my penis is red and blotchy. Just the top part. Nothing is raised or ulcerated. Just a little uncomfortable. I am Male 42, from Pakistan I had unprotected sex vaginal and slight anal penetration once (big mistake ) with a sex worker on 27 Sept 13, on 29 Sept I felt severe itching in my groins and irritation in anus. I took 750 mg Azithromycin 29 sept night followed by 250 mg Azithromycin with 400 mg cefixime on 30 Sept morning. I waited for 24 hours The symptoms didn't resolve rather I started having severe irritation after peeing.
I went to the doctor and I was prescribled Azithromycin which I took the same day, but this day appears in my knee a rash that go away in 1 hour. By Friday I was feeling better, though my sore throat was still persistent and I took penicillin as my own decision. By Saturday, I was much better and was feeling great, but during 15 or 20 days more I´m felt moderately tired and rash appeared in my arms and knees until today(always goes away in 1 or 2 hours and appears next day in the same area).
Recently I developed little spots on my penis head, which are spreading over the whole head now . Thinking it was chlamydia or herpes I took 4x azithromycin 250 caps and 2x famciclovir 125 tabs. That night I went I the shower. I had a huge rash covering my whole stomach , above my groin and the inside of my thigh . It was very noticeable and pronounced . The next day it was gone. But the little but on my inner thigh was still there.
2 months a go had unprotected sex, no orgasm. The next day took azithromycin, cefixime, metronidazole and a course of acyclovir. In the past month I have had a tingling sensation on my penis. No discharge, no rash, no burning on urination, no lesions.
