2 days after got clear discharge after urination, once by its self. Returned to clinic did two more urine samples, and gave me 1g Azithromycin. All test negative said it was NSU. Cause was most likely a bacterial infection. The worst of the irritation cleared up in 3-4 days however still had slight tingle at the base of my penis and 1-2 drops of clear discharge after urination.
Week 5 Partner had regular Pap Smear (not related).
Week 6 still slight tingle and discharge after urination.
I began to get very worried and went to the doctor (three days later). He prescribed 2 grams of Azithromycin, which I took around 6pm. The next evening, my girlfriend showed up at my apt to surprise me and make up. We ended up having unprotected sex (about 24 hours after I took the antibiotics). I was still pretty freaked about the whole situation and went to get a full STD screening a few weeks later.
I just received my chlamydia treatment in the form of 4 tablets to be taken in one dose of Azithromycin. I starting menstruating today and I didnt know if there would be any reason this would affect the effectiveness of the drug. Also my partner was just treated yesterday...How long before we can resume having sex?

I was diagnosed with Chlamydia about a week ago. They gave me Azithromycin, 4 tablets at 250mg to take all at once. I took them and have severe stomach cramping and nausea, and ended up getting sick about 45 to an hour after taking the last pill... hoping that I would have already digested it before I got sick. The stomach pain lasted the rest of the day. It's been about 3 days now since I have taken it, but I still have that "burning" sensation after I urinate.
I would have thought they would have subsided. I fear I have infected my wife, and worry about the implications for her health - untreated this could progress to PID. Should I tell her so that she can be tested (but rip the family apart ), or not (given nothing has been found) to keep my family together and carry on with life - learning from this and being the best father and husband I can.

She was given Metro gel (she is still nursing our 2 year old - hence the gel vs the pill) for the BV (she never had odor with the discharge). I tested for Gonorhea and Chlamydia via urine sample and was told it was negative and was provided 4 athriomax pills just in case for the BV. I then freaked out after internet searches and wnet and got tested for NGU HIV SYPHILYS. I know the pills probably killed any bacteria for the NGU test.
If you removed your uterus you wouldnt be able to be pregnant ever... I am not sure of the implications but i definitely know the previous to be true. Good luck!

After further reading on azithromycin in the internet, I stumbled upon some people saying including in this forums that taking azithromycin can affect the vdrl for syphilis. I'm starting to get worried. I didn't notice any symptoms of syphilis on me at all. So is it possible that azithromycin can affect the vdrl for syphilis?

I have been taking Azithromycin for 4 days. I have gotten worse. Still have fever and have developed nasal congestion with yellow discharge. ENT gave me Spectracef. I read that Spectracef does not treat mychoplasma. So, is there an antibiotic that would treat both mychoplasma AND sinusitis incase I have one or both?
We live in Illinois and my only options are to quit my job to care for her and loose everything we have including house, or place her in a nursing home which I cannot even bear thinking about. It seems that the government would actually SAVE money by paying a family caregiver (I am also a Registered Respiratory Therapist) rather than paying for the cost of a nursing home. Any such programs or grants out there for this type of thing in the state of Illinois?
