It’s been exactly four days; today I took 1.5g of azithromycin as a preventive measure against Chlamydia and maybe gonorrhea and syphilis. I just needed to stop freaking out even though I haven’t developed any symptoms.
I know I should be safe about Chlamydia but I’m not so sure about the other two. I also made the mistake of taking the first gram in the morning (on an empty stomach) and taking the remaining half gram in the early evening (4h after lunch).

I just seen this today while doing research as to this is my first. i have been taking it before I found out I was thinking my period was coming and I've always had bad cramps so I know to start taking it before my period comes to help with the pain. A day or so after starting it I experienced mild pain/discomfort in my left flank that came in waves. When I stopped taking the ibuprofen the flank pain also stopped.

I was diagnosed with Chlamydia about a week ago. They gave me Azithromycin, 4 tablets at 250mg to take all at once. I took them and have severe stomach cramping and nausea, and ended up getting sick about 45 to an hour after taking the last pill... hoping that I would have already digested it before I got sick. The stomach pain lasted the rest of the day. It's been about 3 days now since I have taken it, but I still have that "burning" sensation after I urinate.
