The treatment for coinfection with both gononrrhoeae and Chlamydia is Azithromycin. It should work for both. Did you have an injection? However, some GC strains are very resistant. It would be good to get retested in about 6 weeks to make sure you are clear from both.
Ureaplasma isn't an std, and if you haven't responded to the azithromycin and roxy, you need to follow up with your doctor.
Have you been tested for other things, or been tested again to make sure the ureaplasma is gone? Perhaps you have something else going on that is causing this. In any case, you need to follow up with your doctor.
Originally when I experienced these symptoms 2 years ago I had a discharge as well as other symptoms. 0 gram dose of azithromycin will cure nearly all chlamydial infections and is the recommended therapy for NGU. For gonorrhea the 2.0 gram dose is recommended. The 2.0 gram dose is also the dose shown to be effective for syphilis.
You describe taking 1500 mg (1.5 grams) over about 3 days. This dose would probably cure most chlamydial infection and NGU and some gonorrhea or syphilis but not all. Beyond that, there really no way to answer your question with complete confidence.
Before leaving Costa Rica 11days ago, I went to a local Pharmacy and asked for some medications for STDs. I was given 2 tablets of 500mg (total 1000mg or 1g) of Azithromycin, which I took after eating a meal, and right before I got on my flight back home.
I feel fine in general, but do feel fatigue and think that I might have developed a small rash under my scrotum near the perineum. But, it is summer time, and might be caused due to the heat.
Would a 10 day treatment w/ Cipro (500mg, twice a day) before positive test results came back for Chlamydia infection cause 7 days of Doxy and 1g of Azithromycin to be ineffective? I read that Cipro will not treat Clamydia and then read a study that said it can slow down the growth of it and cause it to be persistant.
Also, when I as being examined by the second doctor he noted that one side of my lypnodes in my groin was enlarged, he did not seem too concerned, just noted it.
I also find some tiny itchy skin rash sometimes over my limbs and trunk and some peeling of feet skin. I check for any swelling of neck lymph nodes about 20 times every day and recently find them to be transiently more obvious than before. I also have one episode of diarrhoea.

1. I am really worried that they are the symptoms of acute HIV seroconversion syndrome. I am so so so scared that I might catch HIV from this exposure!
My girlfirend is pregnant , can she take these as I have found on the net azithromycin is o.k for pregnant women, we both throw up with tablets.I cannot find any info for levofloxacin.
Levofloxacine crushed up in our drinks.if we drink it all I presume it should work?

I have been to multiple doctors and clinics and have been tested repeatedly for all of the major infections (Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, HIV, HEP A/B/C) as well as numerous tests for potential non-STD related causes (Thyroid, Liver, Kidney, parasites, Lyme disease, Mono, Lupus, and inflammation). Everything so far has come back negative.
During this time I have tried taking numerous, heavy doses of various antibiotics, such as Azithromycin / Clarithromycin, Cipro and Amoxicillin.

Azithromycin is not recommended treatment for gonorrhea. It is for chlamydia and it can take anywhere from 24 hours to a few weeks for all symptoms to subside. It depends on the person being treated and how their body responds to treatment as well as how far the infection has progressed.
I also tested positive for chlamydia during that pregnancy, which was treated with a single dose of Azithromycin. I also tested positive for gestational diabetes during this pregnancy.
Ever since I had her, I have had a yellow/green discharge with an odor that will appear a day after I shower. The discharge is not constant, and it's usually noticeable only sometimes. they will test you for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally. Not unusual for antibiotics to trigger an overgrowth of yeast as well as sometimes BV will occur with other infections. Don't self treat with otc yeast medications - be seen and get the proper testing done.

I took 500 mg of it every day for three days. I believed Azithromycin was recomended for Chalmydia treatment not for Gonorrhea or, better, wasn't first choice for gonoccoccical infections.
Would it really have cured gonorrhea if I had in my throat?
