There are medications that will help control your symptoms. Your health care provider will help you identify what makes your asthma worse, so you can avoid those triggers. We see a lot of asthma caused by allergies, and so your provider may suggest allergy testing.
Avatar f tn I have had a cold for over a week now. I took one cipro 500 pill and then decided I needed to see my doctor. I took that at 5PM. My doctor prescribed prednisone and azithromycin. I have checked and seen that there are interactions in taking these drugs together. How long until the cipro 500 is out of my system so I can begin the other antibiotics and prednizone? Thank you.

Avatar f tn I haven't had to take one, but the FDA says that it isn't expected to cause any issues and many Dr's prefer it as the safest option in pregnancy. Nothing is without risk, but when really sick that isn't good for baby either. Get a prescription and I hope and pray you feel better soon!
Avatar m tn She gave me oral sex without a condom but when it came time for the real thing I had sex with a latex condom. When I took the condom off it seemed completely intact. I recently got a bout of acute bronchitis, in which I am still recovering. Mind you that I work in a pharmaceutical lab with some harsh chemicals. Steeterwav - That feeling in the back of your throat is called post nasal drip. Mucus runs down from your sinuses into your throat...it can cause you to cough, swallow constantly, clear your throat, etc. The palpitations could be caused by anxiety.
Avatar n tn had put me on a Z-Pak for a sinus or bronchitis infection during the last test. Could that impact the results at all? If not, is it necessary to get tested again after 12 weeks?
Avatar n tn If the sputum is present, it should be sent for culture and sensitivity to start appropriate antibiotic. As you have taken already a course of Azithromycin, wait for resolution and meantime go for throat swab and antibiotic sensitivity. If the symptoms worsen change in antibiotics based on culture sensitivity test and cough suppressants are required. I suggest you to consult a physician for proper evaluation and treatment. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn Dicloxacillin is a poor choice for any STD. It has no effect against chlamydia or the other bacteria that cause cervicitis in women and NGU in men, and borderline efficacy at best against gonorrhea and syphilis. The alternative to doxycycline is azithromycin 1.0 g orally in a single dose, which is safe and effective in pregnancy. If gonorrhea is a concern, then it's azithromycin plus a cephalosporin antibiotic, such cefixime or cefpodoxime; or a 2.0 g dose of azithromycin.
Avatar f tn Several months ago my doctor gave me a short course of an antibiotic (azithromycin) for bronchitis. I immediately noticed a change in my bowel movements that has continued until now. Previously, they almost always floated, but now they almost always sink. I'm also seeing more little balls. I also pass gas pretty often, but that has always been true. I did not change my diet or exercise. I've tried eating yogurt but see no effect from it. What's up?
Avatar f tn Do you know what dose of antibiotics he took? 1000 mg of azithromycin is the treatment for chlamydia and NGU, and you'd have to be treated for that. It would probably be 2 or 4 pills, or a nasty powder they mix with water. They wouldn't give him that for a bump, unless they are incompetent.
