Hi Aidens_Mom, Ya it's new to me also that asthma causes a 103 degree fever! Asthma can lead to pneumonia but not the other way around. When steroids are inhaled into the lungs to treat asthma it creates an immune suppression and can make the person more susceptible to infection. This is a scary thing for a mother not to mention your son and should be investigated further. I would recommend they refer you to a Immunologist,and have the level of antibodies your son has evaluated.

I went to a lunch today and I started drinking a beer because it had totally slipped my mind that I took the medication on Monday. I finished the one beer, but drank only water the rest of the time. I have been taking Azithromycin for 4 days. I have gotten worse. Still have fever and have developed nasal congestion with yellow discharge. ENT gave me Spectracef. I read that Spectracef does not treat mychoplasma. So, is there an antibiotic that would treat both mychoplasma AND sinusitis incase I have one or both?

I was also just taking a 5 day dose pack of azithromycin for a sinus infection. I started having heart palpatations as well. I have tachycardia anyways so I didn't really associate it with the medicine. It really started worrying me when my left arm started feeling weak and tingling. This usually also happens when I have an SVT attack but it goes away quickly. This tingling lasted all day. My heart palpatations were more frequent as well.

t exactly listening to what the nurse had to say while being in full blown anxiety attack mode. She had prescribed 4 pink oval pills of Azithromycin 250mg and I took them all at once like I was supposed to. My question is that with my obsessive thinking and severe depression and anxiety, especially over this, can I still smoke medical marajuana after having taken the antibiotics? Monday of this week, I noticed what looked like an ingrown hair on my scrotum. I FREAKED OUT!! Syphilis came to mind. They gave me Azithromycin, 4 tablets at 250mg to take all at once. I took them and have severe stomach cramping and nausea, and ended up getting sick about 45 to an hour after taking the last pill... hoping that I would have already digested it before I got sick. i posted my initial question and got a response, please do not think i am trying to flood the board. i had a prescription written today for 1gram per day for 2 days of azithromcin, when i got this filled i was told they only had 250mg tablets and to take 4 per day to equal one gram. is this correct?

Hi, My partner was given Chlamydia treatment last week and I was told I should take the same so I did (1g Azithromycin). The tests aren't actually back until the end of this week and I am concerned that it is actually Gonorrhea as I am sometimes itchy externally and was a little itchy internally but caneston relieved that for a while. My bum is also occasionally itchy but preparation has helped relieve that.
