I have been taking Azithromycin for 4 days. I have gotten worse. Still have fever and have developed nasal congestion with yellow discharge. ENT gave me Spectracef. I read that Spectracef does not treat mychoplasma. So, is there an antibiotic that would treat both mychoplasma AND sinusitis incase I have one or both?

Next day, Headache was gone but she got fever (~38 degree C) and severe weakness. She started taking Paracetamol and azithromycin. After 4-5 days, she started having cough also. s very mild fever, i took advil, sleep for couple hours, sweat, and i am normal. this went on for 5 days and i decide to talk to my pcp. my pcp prescribed me amoxicilin, he thinks it's an infection. i took the amoxicllin for couple days but the fever persists and it's no logner just mild. temperature can go up to 102, however, i will sweat it out then i am fine again. 7- 9 hours later, the fever will be back again.

Keep your self well hydrated with warm fluids like soup, warm lemonade, herbal tea, chicken broth etc. Take an anti-fever medication for fever. Consult a doctor if fever des not subside in 2-3 days or any of the above mentioned symptoms appear. Take care!

a week ago, i started to have recurring fever daily in the afternoon around 2 pm and in the morning around 2 am. the AM fever would make me sweat big time and then the fever goes away. it's been about 8 days now and i am still experiencing the fever. my pcp gave me motrin 600mg and Azithromycin. if i take the motrin every 8 hours, it will suppress the fever, but if i miss a dosage, i get the fever back again. i been doing a lot of reading on this forum about STD.

Run-of-the-mill strep throat usually gets a single whopping antibiotic (e.g. Z-pac/ azithromycin) but not double antibiotics and steroids to boot. Have they perhaps mentioned a concern for MRSA (penicillin resistant staph infection)? That would make more sense...
