I dont want to totally knock lyrica, because it did really help with the severe pain, but the side effects for me were pretty bad. Thankfully the doctors determined later that I dont have RSD and alot of my nerve pain subsided when I began stretching and excercising during physical therapy. I still have Lyrica for when I get nerve pain, but I havent had to take it for a couple of months now.

I read many articles on the net and the warning not to drink was on every page. I have always been a social drink but I have never drank while taking my pain meds. Sure, I enjoy my beer but have always been to worried about the side effects. I'm still just nervous about trying it but having pain I'm just not sure. Thanks for the info.

25 mg every other day using suboxet to avoid possible side effects to naloxone component of suboxone. This new doctor told us that in Europe, 0.5 mg tabs of suboxone/suboxet are available. Here, he said, the drug company has a lot to gain by people remaining addicted to suboxone because they cannot taper it sufficiently. So, they are content not to do the FDA testing required to put a half mg tab on the market. I will use the community forum.

My PM doctor's nurse put me on various drugs until Avinza, then I stayed on it for the last few years. I have severe, life threatening Respiratory problems and my memory is getting much worse. I am 100% disabled from a car wreck. I am medically retired. My wife is here with me, so I am not alone. I got my dosage down from a high of approximately 450-500 mg a day to 30mg of Avinza a day. Oxycodone is for BT pain. I took my last Avinza at 10pm Sat, July 19.

My daughter was told at her pain clinic that she could not build a tolerance to Avinza. My daughter has to be taken off of Avinza and put on something else for a while and go through terrible withdrawl, including restless leg syndrome, then she sees the nurse again and has to argue with her to get her to put her on Avinza again.

I have tried to explain to you the side effects in your last 2 posts. They will go away. If you are that worried about the patch then maybe the patch isn't for you.....The more you over-react the worse you will make yourself feel. The patch your on is a VERY low dose. ...............You may feel a tiny bit nauseated but NOTHING to worry about.

Avinza it;s a synthetic moriphine ! Worked probably 50x better than the Moriphine Sulphate . Un fortunately its very expensive and my insurance wanted to leave me with a $600 monthly copayment ... Now Im on the Moriphine Sulfate . It ***** ! It doesnt work as well as the Avinza and the Moriphine side effects are on days as bad as the pain ! Try Avinza no where near as many adverse side affects.

I tried many things for pain that simply did not work at all end or the side effects very disturbing. Just after Christmas my Dad brought me to his place in Florida hoping that the warmth, change etc. would help. While there a met a Dr. who also stayed in the same complex for the winter and was an aquaintance of my Father's. A very long story short, he helpled my prescribing me Oxy Contin. Within a few weeks, the pain was managed very well and I became my old self again.

Can you build up a tolerance to avinza? After taking avinza for several months, my daughter just didn't get any relief from it anymore. She quit taking it for a while and then started using it again and it's working. The pain clinic nurse practioner say's that you cannot build up a tolerance to it.

It sounds like you are having intolerable side effects from oxycodone. That means no oxycodone, whether it is a tablet, a capsule, immediate release or extended release Oxycontin. As the first replier stated, there are other medications out there that don't have oxycodone in them.

Is morphine (avinza) a stronger narcotic than percocet? I have 60 mg tablets of avinza, so if I take one of those, is that like taking 6 of the percocet 10/325?

My best friend of 13 yrs just got prescribed avinza. Not sure of dose. He has been trying injection of pills. I think he is injecting avinza. Is that possible. What are signs or symtoms. He needs help.

s a day and liked the Avinza so much better. Avinza is basically 24 hour time release Morphine. I take two 90 mgs caps every morning. And it keeps me from going into wds and gives a good base of coverage.. way way better than I had for the year I was on the patches.

The constipation almost always never goes away. I continue to struggle with that side effect. But if the side effects you are experiencing are tolerable and you are getting good pain relief, I would stick it out and see if the bad dreams go away with time. The morphine sulfate along with percocet keeps my pain level around a 3 or 4 and my other meds can reduce it to about a 2-3.

My third visit to PM Dr is in two weeks and I am not getting any relief. I take my medicine as prescribed. I went from 10/325 oxycodone 4x a day to 30mg avinza, and now I am taking 45mg avinza still with no relief. My pain remains between 5-8 with 9 most evenings. I dont want to be labeled by telling my doc I am not getting any relief. I am looking for suggestions.

Many AD's have side effects that affect the libido, guess it applies to both sex es. As far as I know all AD's have this drastic effect . Hopefully you'll find one that's OK for you . Good luck.

Does anyone know of any side effects from using the circulation booster. I have the opportunity to buy a second hand one, but my brother believes it can't be good for your muscles to zap them so to speak, like it will confuse your muscles.

Hi. I am on week 60/72, second round of treatment. I was really really sick after shot for first few months and then this resolved and became tolerable at least. I now find that I am having these same significant side effects later in tx. This didn't happen last round, but I went 48 then. Anyone else have this happen?
