hi, ive been on 60mgs a night for 7yrs of the old avanza, but it really works for me. i havent tried to come off it but if i were you i would try an over the counter anti-histamine,phenergan is generally most effective but might make you sleepy. you only need one a day so take at night. maybe some soothing anti itch cream keep it in the fridge and rub it in when its at its worse.

Hi, its me again sorry to bother everyone, but, I have been very very depressed over the past few months, as you all know I have the missed heart beats and so on, I have been seeing a pshychiatrist for the depression, doc has just changed my medication from Avanza to 'Cymbalta' has anyone heard of this drug, he said it would be very safe, but I dont know how it will effect my ever ectopic heart.
nt really do anything for me i feel for my depression as uped from 15 to 30 and then 45mg. knocks you out big time initially as slept something like 16hours one time which freaked me out. course of trial and error i suppose as everyone's physiology and brain's different and sense of problems different as well.
GAD is Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Thanks for your advice. I went to the doctor and he says I need to give the medication more time to work so I'll give it some more time and see what happens. I think it's a combination of being lonely and not having a life that tends to make me focus on my problems. If I could just get my life together I think I would feel better in myself. Hi there, I have been on Effexor XR 300mg for a number of years plus Avanza at night. These meds have been very effective until the last few months when I've slipped a little. I am morbidly obese and that has been getting to me as well. My doctor has now taken me off the Avanza at night and prescribed 15mg Reductil to take with the Effexor in an effort to perk me up a bit and help with the weight.
Temazepam is a benzodiazepine sedative usually used for sedation to aid sleep. However, it can be used for anxiety or general sedation. Long term use will be addicting. Usual side effects are drowsiness, headache, fatigue, lethargy; and dizziness. It is a drug that is similar to valium, librium etc. The usual dosage is around 30 mg. Hi, its me again, I am having some very trying times at the moment, with panic and anxiety attacks, how do people with this disabeling condition manage theirs, I have the ectopics, and on top of that I have the anxiety attacks which last for hours or even days, I get pins and needles in my stomach, and at the back of my neck, also light headedness, and constantly urinating, I feel terrible, I am on medication (Avanza) for this, but, why do I still I feel like committing suicide, thats how bad I
i then went back to half dosage of each for 4 days, this made all symptoms of withdrawal go away. i then dropped my dose to 1/4 for 4 days, figuring this would hopefully make me have no withdrawal symptoms. not sure if i didn't step down for long enough or what but withdrawal is back though definitely not as severe. i have the vertigo which is awful. feeling dizzy, nauseous. if i move my head quick the world spins even more and i fell like i'm gonna throw up.
The best advice I can give is that if you start being treated for anxiety and your physical symptoms go away, then you will know that anxiety was the root cause of it all. That is what happened to me...I had probably 50 different physical symptoms, from brain "zaps", to shortness of breath, muscle aches, chest pains, confusion, panic attacks, you name it. Within a month or so of being treated, all my symptoms went away.

I was on Avanza for sleep but all it did was give me horrific dreams, so I gave it about 6 months and still the same problems so I took myself off. But now I am back to very patchy sleep, I am tired during the day. I have gone to sleep twice at the wheel of the car and beleive that I was already dreaming before I fell asleep. But this bed falling has me tossed. It has happened before but nothing like now and I am going to injure myself soon.
I was hit by a car as a pedestrian in a very high speed. For the first year of my recovery, I slept like a log. I started suffering from an insomnia about a year ago and since then it is getting worse. Im taking antidepressant Avanza and antipsychotic Seroquell. They both should improve my sleep but they dont. I tried Melatonin, benzos, you name it. Nothing helps. I sleep between 2 and 3 hours a night.
It got so bad that now Im extremely dizzy during the day and I dont function.
t understand what the prescription for caffeine tablets (which you can get over the counter.) was good for. Are you seeing a psychologistas well? What are you taking to treat your ADD? I myself am bipolar and ADD - there's no reason one would cancel out another as you know.
As for the rest - I don't get the reason your doctor doubts the eveidence you give him; do they think you're delusional? A hypochondriac? Manic?
I thought it was best to go on a anxiety meds. I used Effexor and was on it for 10 years. it is for generalized anxiety disorder. I worked really well for me. I used the Xanax when I feel extremely panicky.
go for counseling, talk and vent as much as possible in a safe environment, go to alanon, exercise, eat healthy, make sure you get plenty of rest.
