It’s an easy, catch-all phrase, which saves time for doctors to boot. But can we really lump all these people together? What if there are other things causing people to feel distracted? Avatar m tn He asked if I had ever been tested for ADHD and gave me a test. I scored 6/6 for attention deficit and 3/6 for hyperactivity. He prescribed me 10 mg methylphenidate (rapid release) twice daily. On the spot. Never mentioned my history of alcohol abuse or dependence. No warnings. Nothing. The monograph basically says alcoholics and drug addicts should not take methylphenidate. Internet is FULL of warnings against it.
Avatar n tn I just had blood work done by my GYN (no other Dr. suggested it) so it'll be 2 weeks before I know any results from that. I also have panic disorder...so being like this for so long has caused that to kick in even more and I'm taking more Xanax. I'm thinking something's just weird this year....and whatever it was, I got it! I've heard of a lot of people being like this this year. I don't have a deviated septum and Dr. said I didn't need surgery...but if it would help me I would try it!
