It is a very broad spectrum disorder and has many symptoms of which a child may have one or many of. Your son seems to have many of the same symptoms my doughter does. She just turned 3 also and has phased out of infants & todlers and into the school system.

I use ritalin when I need to focus and complete difficult jobs for me-like doing paperwork. UGH! I took ritalin (a stimulant for ADD) daily for awhile and DID go manic. I did all kinds of things I wouldn't normally do including spending large amounts of money on impulse. Having an affair! Etc.

The symptoms you describe could be explainable by ADHD alone, but it is unlikely. Sometimes a learning disability goes undiagnosed until the curriculum becomes a bit more complicated, as it does in the fourth grade.

He is an attention addict and doesnt discourage younger girls from hanging around. We are afraid where this will lead him but he is beyond our ability to control. One thing, you can not reason with him. The only thing he gets is visuals and reality checks.
