Avatar f tn Hi everyone! Iv been taking celexa for the last four years for depression and anxiety and my doctor wants me to try Cymbalta as my celexa is no longer working and I have been suffering from pain that they believe is nerve related. Iv ready alot of reviews on this drug and not sure if its something I want to take, then again, iv read really good reviews on it. Anyone out there ever taken this drug and if so how was your experience with it.
Avatar m tn As far as I've learnt through my few years of life, taking pills is not the answer nor solution to that problem. I've studied psychology, natural medicine, tempers, and other things; and from what I've learnt the anxiety and depression may be caused by hormonal and eating disorders, as much as any other psychological issues. Do you exercise? Do you know if you are hyperactive? Are you truly satisfied with your intellectual development? Do you feel fulfilled with your job?
Avatar f tn The beta blocker has caused severe depression and anxiety. I need something to help me to get out of this hole and depression that I"m in. Can anyone let me know if you've luck with Lexapro helping with drug induced depression. Its the lesser of two evils. I need the beta blocker for my tachycardia....now I need something to help with the side effects of the beta blocker....horrible side effects and depression.
Avatar f tn As I said Zoloft was a wonderful drug for me and worked great for my panic attacks and anxiety to where they were completely gone for years, and it may not work for you at all. You just need to try and see what happens that is the best you can do!!
Avatar m tn I am posting this in 3 forums because I am not sure if this is Depression, OCD, or GAD. I had a severe bout of depression starting around 5-6 months ago. I never really had urges of suicide or hurting myself however. I constantly slept and was very very afraid of sharp objects. I had bad images of attacking loved one's with said objects. Also thoughts of randomly hitting people associated with me. I would go and get no my knees and pray really hard to make it go away.
Avatar m tn However the family member I have (who is not yet in treatment) with bipolar (they noted mainly depressive features) anxiety disorder and ocd can have an anxiety episode create mood changes and when they are depressed it can then worsen anxiety and cause them to have extreme insomnia, something they always had but didnt know why. All of these issues overlap in their effect and can be hard to separate.

Avatar m tn I believe that for me not being able to feel good for a long time it has out me into some type of depression. I am just wondering if depression can cause anxiety and can it cause brain fog? My doctor believes that it is a panic disorder but the perscription he gave me for the past month is not really curing anything that is why I believe it has to do with depression.
445263 tn?1208801416 It literally saved my life. It put my depression and anxiety in a remissive state and returned me to normal functioning. Hats off to Zoloft. It is an excellent medication. I am happy to hear that your doing well with it.

973741 tn?1342342773 I listened to a podcast discussion this treatment and it sounds very promising. Some people do not respond well to medication and are medication resistant getting no relief and others have a hard time tolerating medication. This is new this year, cranial electrotherapy stimulation which uses what sounds to be ear pads (electrodes incorporated into noise canceling over ear head sets looking like regular headphones) to supply the therapy. It sounds very promising. https://www.neurologylive.
Avatar m tn Author Lucinda Bassett has a book 'attacking anxiety and depression' which has a great chapter on panic attacks. I highly recommend you look it up.
Avatar m tn m not the guy to ask about Amazon reviews, but most of the reviewers are in some way paid to do those reviews and so they do a lot of reviews and they do them fast. I think mostly they get free stuff, not big money. You'll notice most of them are "verified reviewers" which Amazon will say means one thing but which in reality some have admitted when called on by others that they seem to review a lot of products that do get some recompense for doing it.

Avatar n tn So I'm in my 12th week and I suffer from depression and anxiety. I quit taking my meds at the beginning of my pregnancy and I am really struggling with depression. It's getting back to how I was before being medicated and im not dealing with it well. Its been a lot worse the past few days. Does anyone have any suggestions about this?
Avatar f tn 00 AM one night. I had all the symptoms including the one you are having now......felt like I was going crazy, scarey thoughts, sleep disturbance, worry about my marriage, worry about my daughter, etc. Here is the GREAT part.....I am turning the corner and YOU CAN TOO! I never tried medicine. I came real close, but I told myself I am going to give CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) a honest chance, and it is working like a champ! The key is to be patient with yourself, and give 100% effort.
680767 tn?1254830575 I was being treated for an overactive thyroid when the locum at Southampton General hospital messed up my block and replace treatment ie he told me to take the carbimazole tablets then start Levothyroxine 4 weeks later ( what he should have said was take both Tablets at the same time) which led to some nasty effects to my brain ( which is still not right) at one point I thought I was going mad ,and balance went and that's when ANXIETY kicked in, had Radioiodine treatment last July (
612551 tn?1450022175 I am a senior and losses in family and age has given me long term grief and depression. I tried Trazadone for about a year but didn't seem to get much help and I think it was making my sleeping problems worse. I then went to Sertraline (Zoloft) and have been on a half dose for 9 days (25 mg) and will go to full dose of 50 mg on day 10. The side effects seem to add to my fatigue, which I already had due to grief/bereavement.
550739 tn?1224163372 my entire life, but in May of 08 I spiralled into severe anxiety and depression caused by it. I have no clear idea of why. I fought for months with anxiety, depression, scarey thoughts, muscle tensions, sleep issues, etc.etc. Now here is the GOOD PART.....After my first couple weeks of severe anxiety, I immeditately sought help with a psychologist and with self help material (Lucinda Basset's Attacking Anxiety). It actually made me more anxious at first, but it definitely works.
Avatar f tn I have looked up his online reviews and they are generally not positive and I am concerned he is a quack. I need some feedback please.
Avatar f tn net it helps balance serotonin and other brain chemicals that cause anxiety , depression, obseevive compulsive and more. It has amoni acids and enzymes, 5htp and b6. Has anyone used this before from their holistic docotr or alternative medicine doctor? If you have used it how did you feel on it? did it help? and for how long were you on it?
Avatar m tn Hello, I'm curious what people's response has been taking Brintellix for OCD... To give a little background, I had my first panic attack when I was 18. In the past 14 years (I'm now 32), I've experienced the full spectrum of anxiety, panic, and most recently, OCD. My OCD often takes the form of an intense sensation that I'm able to say the N-word. While this has never actually happened, my mind is in constant catastrophizing mode.
Avatar m tn I would stop and feel my heart and check my breathing. I watch a few of the, Attacking Anxiety and depression and learned how to slow my breathing. It worked! No anxiety for 9 years. You can control it.
1111269 tn?1258499771 Suffering from depression, anxiety & worry. I'm 46, in excellent physical health, mental health eating me up!!! I've tried Lexapro. Thought i was dying, it was torture. Then i went cold turkey getting off of it. Not a good idea. Looking for something non addicting and without side effects. Found Serelax and would like to here thoughts from users. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I HAVE to be on something or I will be a shut in crying in the corner from anxiety and depression. .right now i am taking BOTH and I am feeling a bit like I am on an acid trip. I am on 40mg paxil and 20 mg (break tablet) of zoloft. The zoloft makes me feel really anxious and almost like i am going to have a panic attack but the paxil is still working well enough to stop it. I am worried about when I actually wean off of paxil....if i am going to be a panic attacking freak again. argh.
Avatar f tn and did a lot of research on it and it seems pretty valid. I was wondering if you had ever heard of it and had any reviews? I have genital hsv1 and I was put on acyclovir 2x a day with lysine for a year for suppression. My gyno said after a year I was pretty much in the clear since its hsv1 and not hsv2 (tested negative for hsv2). But this program claims it can destroy the herpes virus by breaking down its barriers and then attacking it.
