920032 tn?1550680156 OH - I just assumed you were talking about the nasal spray Atrovent, but you could be using a neb or for now an MDI (will be off the market soon with the CFC ban). Which are you using? You could also try NasalCrom. That is an OTC nasal mast cell stabilizer which works really well. I hope that you get some relief and sleep soon.

I finally had 5 years of allegy shot ending aroung 2005, This year has been so bad with all the pollen I feel like I'm right back to day one. Avatar n tn I irrigate my nasal passages twice a day with the NeilMed nasal bottle and the pre-mixed solution. The Ent doctor at Mayo Clinic said that it may not seem like it is helping but it really is. Could have fooled me!!!!! But I just keep on doing it. What have you tried for your rhinitis? I don't get watery nasal discharge out the front of my nose but some people do - mine is down the back of my throat. Do you get sore throats from your drainage?
Avatar f tn My son has suffered that for years. We finally went to a university hospital where they did all the typical GERD related test and as soon as they discovered he actually had GERD, it seemed like they concentrated on that as being the source of his cough, and stopped listening to what he was telling them, that the cough would start as soon as he ate food. It didn't have enough time to get to his stomach and then start to regurge.

Avatar n tn I had unexplained runny noses for years and finally went to the doc who gave me a strong steroid kind of nasal spray. It worked amazingly well but for the last few weeks it stopped working. I read somewhere that if the medication stops working that is a really bad sign and could mean that the infection spread and caused cancer! True or False?

Avatar f tn I am currently taking antibiotics, prednisone, nasonex, atrovent, asteline, and nasal wash before the sprays (I have never taken all three before, but I thought it may be worth a try). Also, I am going for another CT scan this week. I also take a boat load of vitamins daily. I walk three miles a day. I do not smoke or drink. I have also been avoiding dairy. If any one has any help to offer, it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Avatar m tn I have had post nasal drip and severe sinus problems for many years now. I had an operation to remove a cyst and some polyp's about 5 years ago. This never stopped the post nasal drip, and i have since had ct scans done and it reveals that i once again have polyps. I seem to be getting different story's from every specialist i see, with the most recent one saying that the polyps wouldn't be causing you trouble and there is nothing he can do.
Avatar f tn This is similar to what happened with my "Asthma". Started bad and was diagnosed and given advair - worked like a charm and was awesome. Then had a bad asthma spell because of my work (a pet store) moving and we had 25 years of dirt, fur and dust moving around the store as the shelvings were been moved plus a lot of cleaner fumes.
