I would suggest an easy way to do this... Eat
clean. Plain and simple. If you
cut out ALL packaged foods
that would be a good start. Stick to lean protein..Chicken turkey breast, fish of all kinds and Beef and pork only occassionally.
Lots of veggies and low glycemic fruits such as apples, berries, pears , plums melons.
Cut out most "white" foods. White bread, white rice, white potatoes etc..
Stick to whole wheat (100% WHOLE WHEAT) Read lablels.
I myself eat low carb.
