I too had OCD/anxiety problems during pregnancy. Can I ask how far along in your pregnancy did you start the celexa and go back on the ativan?

I am currently prescribed ativan 1 mg from my doctor. My prescription ran out and I can't get it refilled until tomorrow. My husband has a prescription for ativan .5. I took one of his a few hours ago but wasn't strong enough for me as I am used to the 1 mg. MY question is ... Can I take another one now even though the first one hasn't worn off?

It sounds like you are having tolerance issues and you are needing more of the drug. Ativan is short acting and highly addictive. In 1999 I took 1mg ativan and it turned into 3mg a day. I didn't know they were addictive. Just needed them to feel "normal" again. When tried to stop I went into severe withdrawals. Xanax it even shorter acting and highly addictive. It doesn't take long to get addicted to these benzodiazepine drugs.

75mg, my question is, I started the Ativan weaning in Feb, I am now down to 0.80mg from 2mg, so I have dropped 1.20mg in 3 months.... Does anyone know if I can taper at a rate of 10%?, or is that too fast... if I can that would mean i would be off the Ativan in 2 1/2 mths... Is this viable? I just want to be off this garbage I am getting old 24 yrs old and nothing in life.... after the Ativan then it's Klonopin time.... Wow can I make it through this? I hope so......

but I cant help but wonder if I miscarried because of the Ativan and the class it falls in during pregnancy. Any answers, opinions would help. I would love to get off of the Ativan, but anyone who knows medication like I do knows you cannot cold turkey a benzo and expect to be fine, especially at the dose I am on. Any suggestions??? My doctors keep giving me the run around, I just relocated here, so it doesn't seem like they are concerned enough to try and help me or answer my questions.

Ok this is my third pregnancy so I know what it feels like to have contractions.. A couple hours ago I started hurting in my stomach. It was like my stomach was balling up. It hurt so bad to the point I wanted to cry. The first thing my husband asked me was if I was having contractions but I didn't think you could have them or bh this early in pregnancy. I will be 17 weeks tomorrow. I know I have been so extremely stressed out lately and I don't know if that could be causing this.
