Avatar f tn 30 - 5:00 and thats when it reads below 60. Is it possible that it's simply lower at that time of day? Has anyone else had reading this low and functioned at a normal level? Are these stats dangerous? I'm not due back to see the cardiologist for a month. Should I seek the assistance of a Physician right away? Thanks so much for your input!
Avatar m tn Based on your age and your lifestyle your risk of coronary artery disease is very low. I would suggest getting an ECG to get a sense of what your heart rate really is and if there are any noticeable abnormalities. I doubt that any of this is related to your heart at all.
Avatar m tn Is there a correlation there and will supplemental thyroid hormone amend the condition (bradycardia)? I am still easily fatigued and ironically, have more symptoms at rest rather than when I am up and about.
Avatar f tn Hi there, I am a Latino female about to turn 40, I was recently diagnosed with Sinus Bradycardia. I am not in good shape, I haven't exercise for a year. I am not overweight and don't have any other health problems.
Avatar m tn Right now what is concerning me is the bradycardia, and the fact that my heart got down to 32 overnight. I am worried that it may be Sick Sinus Syndome or some sort of Heart block and I will need a pacemaker.
Avatar f tn It means you have some instances of bradycardia. How significant it is depends on what you were doing at the time and your symptoms. For example was your instance of a 30 bpm heart rate during a period of vagal stimulation? Were you using the bathroom? Sleeping? Did you just stand up after sitting in a chair for a few hours? Then youd need to know, were you symptomatic at the time? How,did you feel? This is why accurate journal entries are important.
351404 tn?1299489130 I have been diagnosed with bradycardia and atrial fibrillation and will soon be given a dual chamber permanent pacemaker. I notice that in the doctor's reply it was said that a pacemaker didn't treat AF. This has confused me since my understanding of a pacemaker is that it gives you a regular sinus heartbeat and that arrhythmias would be a thing of the past. If it doesn't treat arrhythmia, then what use is it?
Avatar f tn they can do some simple tests on you to make sure your bradycardia is ok and does not need medication to control. If you are having bradycardia while exercising then the dr. would want to make sure it was not happening worse while you slept. Snd yes, low blood pressure does cause fatigue and dizziness. Good luck to you!
Avatar f tn Its difficult to answer your questions without knowing the general health, medical history, etc. Usually, aerobic exercise is benefical for the heart. A guideline for aerobic exercise is not exceed a pulse rate greater than 220-your age. You may want to reach a heart rate less than the recommended rate until you can comfortly have a heart rate of 144 without being out of breath with a 30 minute workout at least 3 times a week.
Avatar n tn I have sick sinus syndrome with afib. and bradycardia. I take flecainide 150mg twice a day. Any time that I need an antibiotics doctors, other than my cardiologist, struggle to find one that isn't countraindicated.
7465389 tn?1391024867 He is referring me to a cardiologist and an elecrophysiologist because I also had 9 hours 42 minutes of bradycardia, with the slowest single episode lasting 10 minutes with a minimum heart rate of 41. What scares me the most is that when I wore the monitor I only had one event where I actually could feel the palpitations while some days I have dozens of events I can feel. He said he could not put me on beta blockers because of the bradycardia.
Avatar f tn I took my .5 mg ativan and one benadryl for stuffy nose. Now wide awake and have to be up to work in 2 hours. Has this ever happened to anyone?? I also take my 12.5 zoloft in morning will this make me more jittery??
Avatar f tn I was told last May that I have a bradycardia and one day down the road I will need a pacemaker, I'm currently 37 years old, my question is today I have felt the skips in the heart beat more today and when I feel the heart beat after the break today it takes my breath away. Is this something I need to go to the ER about today or just follow up with my doctor.
Avatar f tn I started 5 mg Celexa 5 days ago and the doctor gave me .5 mg Ativan for just in case. My question is how long until the Celexa starts working? If I use the Ativan too often will it effect how the Celexa works? How hard are these to come off of?
Avatar f tn http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/tc/bradycardia-slow-heart-rate-overview#1 Unfortunately, acupuncture has no helpful effect on bradycardia.
Avatar m tn Lately, I have been having bradycardia issues, specifically in the evening time. My pulse is usually between 48 and 52 beats per minute... which is a bit low for me. I am taking the medicine for hypertension... but since heart disease runs in my family and fish oil has some pretty good evidence behind it, I thought I would take it 2. Any comments, suggestions?
Avatar m tn I recently have been having some bradycardia issues. My cardo order echo and stress test. Not sure what these results mean. Going to see him in a few days. Just wonder what questions I should be asking and if I should be concerned. I am a male 44 yrs old (218) and workout/cardio 5-6 times a week.
942410 tn?1274047074 Just off a 10 day stint with a heart monitor (24/7) with read outs sent to Doc. Told I have PAC's and Bradycardia. Wondering if a pacemaker is my only option. Anyone have similar experience? My past journey with Amiodarone makes me nervous about meds. I just want to be OK. not perfect just OK. I'm a 65 years young woman electrically cardioverted from Afib 8 months ago, now normal SR.
Avatar m tn Okay, well how are you directed to take them both? Is one as needed, both as needed, and if so, how do you know when to take which? Do you take one of them regularly? It's pretty uncommon to be prescribed two short-acting benzos concurrently. The equivalency between the two meds isn't an exact science, but per equivalency charts, approximately 0.5mg of Xanax equals 1mg of Ativan, so the Xanax is roughly twice as potent, mg to mg. Again, not an exact science.
Avatar m tn What symptoms of a hangover are you talking about? If you're speaking of anxiety, that's most likely not a hangover, but rather the typical after effects of alcohol consumption. Taking Ativan for hangover symptoms would technically considered abuse of your prescription, since that isn't what it's prescribed for, and all around a bad idea.
Avatar f tn I have acid reflux also and a mild mitral valve prolapse, but recently i was told i have a very mild bradycardia like 58 beats per minute only caught on ekg twice otherwise they are normal. I also have had some stabbing pains everynow and then in my chest, is this probably from the acid reflux or probably from the heart issues? I also notice on here that a lot of people with acid reflux have these other conditions as well is that a coincedence?
Avatar f tn I have done every test on the book and I am fine but I have bradycardia 55-50 most of the time while I am sitting. It speeds up when I am standing. The thing is that I don't do any training since 3 years. I was very active until I turned 21 . I did cardio training 3-4 times a week. So my question is ... Is my bradycardia normal? Am I at risk of getting a worse (symptomatic) bradycardia? I never smoked, I never did drugs, I rarely drink alcohol. I weight around 154 lbs and I'm around 5.
Avatar f tn I think the headache was from something else and not the ativan. Woke up this morning with no headache and took .25mg of ativan and no headache. We'll see what happens later today.... I'm a bit sedated right now on just .25mg. too.
1181804 tn?1333402805 OK. I struggled with my opiate addiction so much that I never fully realized how physically addicting I was becoming to ativan too. The doctor who helped me wean off the percocets by putting me on suboxone and then slowly wean me off those over a one year period told me that I can't be on ativan while on suboxone. Well, my Primary Care had put me on the ativan (.5 / 2 X a day- but I took more when I "needed" it.......
Avatar m tn Yes but not morbidly and I stay pretty active, had problems with asthma when I was younger, lately shortnes of breath has been an issue more than normal but I also suffer and am currently being treated for imsomnia and anxiety attacks
Avatar f tn With a diagnosis of P.O.T.S. and if the fainting happened with standing, as can happen to some with P.O.T.S., then it is unlikely you will pass out while sitting in a car, because standing intolerance is how your body is manifesting the dysfunction of your autonomic nervous system. I'm glad your echocardiogram was fine. Did you get any event holter monitoring done or just resting EKG/ECGs as far as taking a look at your heart rhythm goes?
Avatar n tn There are no drug interactions with Ativan and bisoprolol. However, the Ativan may cause some low blood pressure. I am curious… why are you taking the bisoprolol if you have low blood pressure and a low heart rate… seeing as it can worsen both of those??
