ativan and advil

I read a little on Ativan and it says it does cause withdrawls with some symptoms including insomnia and anxiety. Going through withdrawals is a long process and is really draining but can be done. Like I said I haven't had any experiancwith Ativan in particular but someone will come along and hopefully be able to give you some more help then I can.

Clonadine like Ativan? I just took .75mg of Ativan. I was being mind ( and body) ****** too hard by these wd,s this time. Almost to the point of taking a half perc just to try to wean or somethig. Man it's bad this time around.

My doctor is not the best communicator of all my questions. How do i get away from Ativan, yet feel okay? and how do i know if zoloft is working or best for me or is there something else?

I was put on 5mg oxycodone 2 every 4 hours, along with Lyrica 50mg 3x a day, Oxycontin 10mg every 12 hours, and the doctor also gave me a script for Ativan .5 mg and Dilaudid 2mg. I never took the Ativan & Dilaudid until I ran out of everything else. I had a doctors visit last week of July and he put me back on Vic 5/500 120 pills that ran out a week iago. I had 20 Percoset 5/325 left over from a time ago, began to take them last Wednesday and took my last pill on Monday at 11 am!

So, It's complicated but long story short. I was sleep and food deprived doing household stuff, heavy lifting, slipping, bumping, etc with no core strength. Woke up one day thought I threw out my back, then it went away. I would buckle, had bouts I couldn't breathe, numb toe etc. I was in a manic phase and ignored it, but when I got better and a massage didn't help I saw a dr.

on the RLS you said a advil and tylenol combination helps my husband has RLS really bad at times so how do you do the combination take 1 advil and 1 tylenol . any input would be great.

I got addicted during chemo and took for a few years and then stopped. And started again when my spondylosis(sp) got so bad. My back is broken down from all the steroids that I took during 2 years of chemo and radiation. Is there something that I can take from the doctor that will help with this pain that will not mess up my 5 days clean. I flushed my norcos and my moms (sorry mom), but have not left the bed since Tuesday. Only to shower.

advil is a minor anti inflammatory I have never heard of it prescribed for this before but it could help a little I suppose more widely prescribed for GM are some of the big anti inflammatories - particularly prednisone or methotrexate I did take Naproxen for some time, (months at a pretty high dose - it really attacks your stomach lining though so I went off), which I guess is a step up from advil, and is a non steroidal anti inflammatory (NSAID), can't say if it helped with the inflamma

As some of you know I suffer from severe health anxiety...I started going through a particularly bad time last fall...I am constantly afraid of headaches,fevers,muscle aches etc..as a result of this I started taking advil constantly and I am up to about 10 to 12 liquigels a day..If I don't take them my anxiety goes through the roof and I start to imagine headaches,pain etc...this can't be good for me..and I don't know how to stop...

We just found out yesterday I am expecting and figure im about 5 weeks. I have terrible headaches but I am allergic to tylenol, I have always just puked it up. Is there anything else I can take at this point?

What, if anything can I take for a headache? I've read far too many mixed reviews. I have advil and ibuprofen here, just don't Wana take anything besides my pre natals, too nerve wracking!

Can you take meloxicam and later a couple of Advil? I was prescribed meloxicam for my arthritis and it does not always help me..

Imitrex on the other hand is migraine medication and will stop a migraine. Advil is not migraine medication and can cause problems by making headaches worse. Imitrex is migraine medication that is specifically for migraine and it will stop a migraine. Most migraines do not come with aura. Take that into consideration when you get a headache that feels exactly like your regular migraine just without an aura. That means you are having a migraine. You don't need an aura to have a migraine.

I ALWAYS have to take medicine and take it easy for a few days during my period. I usually take Advil the day before my expected period because they say that it works better if you take it before the pain starts. It does for me. To night I too 4 ativans at night, and 3 Advil PM, and 3 Benadryls. I got geal drowsy and if i close my eyes I would see weird things. So its not working, I just don't understand how I feel fine just taking only one, but at night I wake my self up with jerks, and anxiety.

1 year ago I was put on Remeron 15mg for sleep and to get me off Ativan. The reason I was on Ativan and for 3 years straight of .5mg a night for sleep, was simply because it made me sleep. Started getting interdose w/d so they said take more Ativan. As I did, it started not working correctly. Made me worse. fast forward a year and 1/2 I gained 40lbs from remeron and never really felt right on it. Just didn't feel like myself.

I took my .5 mg ativan and one benadryl for stuffy nose. Now wide awake and have to be up to work in 2 hours. Has this ever happened to anyone?? I also take my 12.5 zoloft in morning will this make me more jittery??

I started 5 mg Celexa 5 days ago and the doctor gave me .5 mg Ativan for just in case. My question is how long until the Celexa starts working? If I use the Ativan too often will it effect how the Celexa works? How hard are these to come off of?

Okay, well how are you directed to take them both? Is one as needed, both as needed, and if so, how do you know when to take which? Do you take one of them regularly? It's pretty uncommon to be prescribed two short-acting benzos concurrently. The equivalency between the two meds isn't an exact science, but per equivalency charts, approximately 0.5mg of Xanax equals 1mg of Ativan, so the Xanax is roughly twice as potent, mg to mg. Again, not an exact science.

What symptoms of a hangover are you talking about? If you're speaking of anxiety, that's most likely not a hangover, but rather the typical after effects of alcohol consumption. Taking Ativan for hangover symptoms would technically considered abuse of your prescription, since that isn't what it's prescribed for, and all around a bad idea.

I think the headache was from something else and not the ativan. Woke up this morning with no headache and took .25mg of ativan and no headache. We'll see what happens later today.... I'm a bit sedated right now on just .25mg. too.

OK. I struggled with my opiate addiction so much that I never fully realized how physically addicting I was becoming to ativan too. The doctor who helped me wean off the percocets by putting me on suboxone and then slowly wean me off those over a one year period told me that I can't be on ativan while on suboxone. Well, my Primary Care had put me on the ativan (.5 / 2 X a day- but I took more when I "needed" it.......

There are no drug interactions with Ativan and bisoprolol. However, the Ativan may cause some low blood pressure. I am curious… why are you taking the bisoprolol if you have low blood pressure and a low heart rate… seeing as it can worsen both of those??

In addition to depression, I struggle with anxiety and take 1 mg Ativan as needed, up to 3x/day if needed. The Ativan helps with the anxiety but I've noticed if I have to take it for a few days in a row it really seems to affect my mood, in that I often feel even more depressed than I did before taking it. I've been on Klonopin before and all that did was make me fall asleep (even on a very low dose), and at least with Ativan I feel as though I can function without feeling so tired.

And the morning is the worst. I just started 5 mg celexa 4 weeks ago and my doctor wanted me to increase my ativan to help with anxiety. It seems like whenever I take too much, I feel sick and loopy. And, it is not that effective for me with dleep. It is more effective during the day to relieve symptoms. I am extremely med sensitive. Does anyone have any experiences with ativan?
