9445847 tn?1408059755 I know I don't have athletes foot because I never ever wear tennis shoes or shoes that cover my feet. I looked it up on Google and it said that it's common because of hormones and extra weight. I'm just curious if it happens to any one else. Glad I'm not the only one!
Avatar n tn I recently got rid of athletes foot with powder, and would like to wear my old shoes. Don't want to discard them since they're fairly expensive. I prefer to not use alcohol or Lysol spray as as they could harm the leather. Is it possible to disinfect/sterilize old shoes by heating them in the oven to kill the bugs? What tempurature and how long to kill fungus and bacteria etc.?
Avatar n tn I have experienced itching, peeling, dryness, small blisters, callouses, and redness on my left foot but never on my right foot. I have tried all sorts of creams including ones for athletes foot but I have no idea why it doesn't go away.
Avatar n tn They burn in between my toes and they peel and ooze causing like a sore in between my toes. I figured it was athletes feet. I started soaking my feet in bleach water everyday for 2 months and it worked. The peeling and the oozing sores stopped and went away. Now recently they have come back not worse than before.. So I soaked them in bleach water and they are starting to heal again... I can't keep doing this regularly soaking my feet in bleach water.
Avatar m tn Just quickly, the shoes were from a place called athletes foot, and he said they were pretty high (he could fit three fingers under the arch (while I had socks on). The arch's face each other (if you put your feet parallel), while the foots flat on the on the other side. I also have no other problems (neurological, muscle problems, bone problems, etc etc).
1949788 tn?1324469377 i don't know about the pain but the itching sounds like athletes foot. . . it could be something similar but just in case if you are to worried about it u could go to the doctors. where you wearing heals?
Avatar f tn no only when in contact with something
Avatar n tn My son has itchy toes. Same ones. I sometimes think it looks a little red but have also seen nothing. My ped said he has undetermined dermatitis. We use an over the counter cream which makes it better. Look in that section and give this a try next time she complains of it. It could also be as stated above athlete's foot. They make powders and creams for that as well.
Avatar f tn You can try an ice or cool pack to your feet before and after running, foot powder to help, a foot spray for athletes foot. These things have been known to help. New shoes and socks or these methods does often solve the problem for runners. One other note on shoes is that maybe your feet have grown a tiny bit and so your shoes still fit but are tight, all of them. Too tight shoes can cause this. If that doesn't help, I would say that you need to see a doctor at this point.
Avatar f tn Do you have more than one pair of boots/shoes? Try to wear dry socks and shoes. We had a light bulb in the closet to keep our shoes dry when we were in Panama. the more water you use or the more sweat, the dryer your skin - must be the salt. Anyway, change your socks as often as you can and keep the gel on them at night. - Are you getting any better?
Avatar m tn 2004/2005 Obtained a nasty fungus between my toes, and warts on the bottoms of feet, from a week of being wet in northern Australia while we waited out a typhoon in the garage of a cantina. In the early years I tried all sorts of over the counter creams and powders for the fungus (warts eventually went away after hitting what seemingly was "the mother wart" on my finger), I've tried Isopropyl, H2O2, and a few prescription creams. This was all back in the US.
578950 tn?1217771704 Just to update on the situation, looks like I had athletes foot on my foot, which then shocked my immune system into having a bought of eczema, it was not athletes foot on my hands, those little bumpy things, that was eczema! So it was misdiagnosed by the Dr's on this site. Eczema came on my feet, fingers and hands, as a result of the athletes foot making my immune system have some kind of a reaction.
10561091 tn?1414497354 Would seem he has athletes foot. He needs to keep his feet dry, clean, and before he puts on his shoes, have him sprinkle some athletes food powder in them. It is a fungus, so the drier he keeps his feet the better.
Avatar m tn I think this might be athletes foot but im sure its much more than that because of the smell. if I am wearing my shoes for too long, and it doesn't have to be for long maybe an hour tops, my feet really start to burn. I wash my feet daily with soap in the shower but that still doesn't help. Any idea on how to fix this?
Avatar n tn This is a fungal infection, that is usualy caught walking bare footed where someone else with althletes foot has trod. For example in showers in the swimming pool, or trying on shoes that some one with althletes foot has tried on. You can get creams and powders for althletes foot from your pharmacist or a superstore. It is important to keep the feet clean and dry in between the toes. The fungus likes warm and moist conditions. Use cotton socks instead of manmade fibre socks.
1100598 tn?1413127426 No I dont have a garden. I live in a apartment complex. I have tried using a spray athletes foot remedy and the problem has gotten worse. Now my toe is swollen and tender along with the redness and cracking. Lotion does not help either. I will try dipping my feet in vinegar.
Avatar n tn I have had a very bad athletes foot problem on my left foot between my small toe for over 4 months that wont go away don't matter what creams i have tried. Please help me. EzEl...
Avatar f tn Can gonorrhea be cured with a special type of athletes foot cream or does it just relieves the symptoms? Because I went to the doctor and my results were positive of having gonorhea from my vaginal exam, I told the doctor that the symptoms only occured outside of my genitals but yet he found the bacteria near my cervix. he gave me an athletes foot cream and told me to apply it twice a day until the syptoms stop then told me I could leave.
Avatar f tn Socks made from cotton and other materials which will wick moisture away from the foot should be worn, along with shoes made from leather and similar breathable materials. People who sweat a great deal may want to consider changing socks more than once a day to avoid athlete's foot, and using a foot powder to reduce perspiration. Shoes or sandals should also be worn in common areas, especially moist ones where the fungus will thrive.
Avatar f tn Red with small bumps a little bit on his toes too. NOTHING on the bottoms of his feet, which is why I come here because athletes foot searches are coming up with nothing. No other symptoms. He wears wool socks and workboots all day M-F sneakers with cotton socks on the weekend. I need to know if this is serious or if I am just being paranoid. I've never seen a rash like this on him before. Thank you in advance.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know if there is anything safe for baby to treat athletes foot? I'm miserable....
Avatar n tn I understand what you are talking about the best thing to do it to wash your feet real good dont use anti fungal anything because it could actually be that your allergic to something that was made with the clogs! Then again it could also be a form of athletes foot but not so severe that you would need any cream...
Avatar n tn Hi there. Proper foot care is essential particularly in minimizing formation of diabetic foot ulcers. You could choose from diabetic walking shoes to remain more active to prevent worsening your condition. Use an extra wide diabetic slippers for home use. These precautions are necessary for preventing stubbed toes and minor cuts at home, which can become foot ulcers. These diabetic shoes are different from regular ones and are individually fitted according to personal foot needs and size.
Avatar n tn The dots do not looked raised but you can feel them when you run your hand over them. I first thought it might be athletes foot but after using anti-fungal cream and powder with no improvement. I went to a walk-in clinic and she stated she believed it might be a viral infection. About a week prior I had flu-like symtpoms with vomiting, headache, and a low grade fever. Afterwards these dots appeared on my foot. Any ideas what this might be?
Avatar m tn They itched at first but not anymore. There is a clear fluid in them. Each toe had a large blister about the size of a pea, with a couple of smaller ones. I've had them about 2 weeks. The blisters on the right toe broke and are healing, the left toe is still blistered. I have only worn flip flops for the past 6 weeks so it isn't from shoes. I went to the Dr. who told me it was not staph, or athletes foot. She didn't take any samples.
Avatar n tn I am now on my second pregnancy and unfortunately the athletes foot has returned once again and again the doctors have said it is perfectly fine to use this cream. I am 16 weeks and have started it already. So not to worry it is fine. I actually might give the vinegar a go i was not aware of that, thanks miyu19 for sharing that!
