Hello, I'm wondering if anyone else with high blood pressure might be able to shed some light on whether some symptoms I've been experiencing might have to do with high blood pressure or not.
First a quick background; I'm 34, male, 250lbs. I've been fighting high blood pressure for a few years now.
I read about a trial where they were using Candesartin (Atacand) to prevent scar tissue from forming in the liver, as it's an angiotensin receptor blocker.
Atacand saved my life. I had heart failure, almost on the transplant list. I found a great doc at UCDavis (after firing one in Auburn who almost killed me), who put me on the Atacand. My heart is now normal!
So when I saw this trial I was really curious.
I reverted to menopausal symptoms eg hot flushes, tiredness, joint aches and pains, lack of motivation, depression approximately 15 years after completing the menopause. My doctor has put me back on Premia 5 continuous which has relieved some of my feelings of lack of well being but I am still lethargic and suffer severe flushes. Are there any dietary issues I should be addressing.
Hello , I am 43 year old and have high blood pressure i regularly take high BP medicines metropolol and Atacand 16 plus. I have taken all test and my heart seem ok and vessels are clear but my left chest pain just above the left breast does not go away. pain sometimes extend to left arm. also i have a left leg slight partial tightness feeling, Shortness of breath, Chest heaviness, fatigued, sleepy and irritable, Excessive daytime drowsiness, . Doctor says nothing is wrong!
What does her doctor say? I would follow her dr.s advice.
I was in emerg for 6 hrs with fast heart , The doc checked my thyroid said it was low 0.2 and that could be causing my symptoms ..which are .fatique ,panic attacks, palpations , migrains,blurred foggy vision ,forgetfulness,sweating, and some times to the other extreme of feeling cold ,swelling in hands, face , feet, feeling anxious or exterme tiredness. .Sometimes i cant sleep .others i can sleep forever . My family doctor said that the test was normal .He said I was having panic disorder .

Hi all I am 50 (will b 51 in few months), with high bp managed with Atacand plus and last visit my doc said im perimenopausal.
At the end of last year my cycle missed then it came on 18th Feb and lasted till 22nd March.
It then returned couple days ago and I've spent the day with horrible cramps and each evening around 6pm it's as it a tap has been turned on and I bleed profusely. I am going to my doctor first thing Monday but just wondered if anyone else has had this experience?
I also have fistures that occurs in the corners of my mouth periodically. Can all these symptoms be related? Or what is causing the light headedness with pressure/slight pain on the base of my head? Presently taking Atacand 4mg since August 2011.
He takes Atacand, Norvasc and Bystalic for blood pressure, Zolof, Restasis for his eyes and an Excelon Patch for his memory. He is very stubborn and refuses to go to a geriatric doctor and his own doctors don't seem to know nor do they seem concerned about what's causing it.
I am now on betaloc 100mg half a tablet / 12 hours and atacand 8mg at lunch time. my BP is average 130/80 and my HR is average 70 bpm. I still suffer from these attacks of irregular heart beats lasting fo seconds and without any other symptoms. another doctor advised me to do an upper GIT endoscopy or barium meal. I am very much confused ...
My boyfriend is on day 6 of taking no pain killers. He has been on it for years after a shoulder surgery. He has all the symptoms of withdrawal that I have read about. He hasn't told the doctor that he is addicted. Out of all the withdrawal symptoms the sleepless nights is what he can't handle. So he asked for sleeping pills. I first thought it was good idea because all of this is foreign to me but now I think it's a bad idea.
