I read about a trial where they were using Candesartin (Atacand) to prevent scar tissue from forming in the liver, as it's an angiotensin receptor blocker.
Atacand saved my life. I had heart failure, almost on the transplant list. I found a great doc at UCDavis (after firing one in Auburn who almost killed me), who put me on the Atacand. My heart is now normal!
So when I saw this trial I was really curious.
JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS Cardiopulmonary obstructive disease (COPD), in which airflow through your lungs is decreased, MY HUSBAND IS 53 YEARS OLD AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A INFRARENAL AORTIC ANNEURYSM 45 WITH EXTENSIVE MURAL THROMBUS IN ABDOMENT AFTER GOING FOR A ROUTINE BLOOD TEST WICH WS NORMAL AND A URINE TEST AS HE HAS HAD MICROSOCOIC HEMATURIA BUT AS HIS RESSURE WAS HIGH THE DOCTOR CHECKED ON HIS ALBUMIN AND HE IT WS 618, AS HE HAS HYERTENSION, IT SHOULD BE BELOW 25, SO THEY DID A RENAL ULT
I am 38 yrs old. WT 222 ht 5'4, diabetic and taking lipitor, and 2 mg atacand. Female and Hispanic. I have had a constant cough for quite a while. I would like to know why?

I am 58 and have had high blood pressure since I was 35. At that time and still today, I am under a lot of stress. I also suffer from generalized anxiety disorder and take medication for that along with amlodipine besylate, 5 mg. anymore than that and my ankles swell up. I also take 12.5 mg atenolol and anymore than that and it causes palpitations. I also take Atacand 16 mg. and Clonidine, 0.1 mg. I don't know why my blood pressure can't be controlled either.
What does her doctor say? I would follow her dr.s advice.
Hi all I am 50 (will b 51 in few months), with high bp managed with Atacand plus and last visit my doc said im perimenopausal.
At the end of last year my cycle missed then it came on 18th Feb and lasted till 22nd March.
It then returned couple days ago and I've spent the day with horrible cramps and each evening around 6pm it's as it a tap has been turned on and I bleed profusely. I am going to my doctor first thing Monday but just wondered if anyone else has had this experience?
Hello , I am 43 year old and have high blood pressure i regularly take high BP medicines metropolol and Atacand 16 plus. I have taken all test and my heart seem ok and vessels are clear but my left chest pain just above the left breast does not go away. pain sometimes extend to left arm. also i have a left leg slight partial tightness feeling, Shortness of breath, Chest heaviness, fatigued, sleepy and irritable, Excessive daytime drowsiness, . Doctor says nothing is wrong!
He takes Atacand, Norvasc and Bystalic for blood pressure, Zolof, Restasis for his eyes and an Excelon Patch for his memory. He is very stubborn and refuses to go to a geriatric doctor and his own doctors don't seem to know nor do they seem concerned about what's causing it.
I take 600 mg of advil 3 x aday 2 tylenol #3 .... 3 - 4 x a day. too manage it some what dulls the pain .I have weakness , dizziness, blurred vision occassionally,sweats nasea,left shoulder blade and arm are numb ,apparently I have apinched nerve in my shoulder blade spine area ,I feel achy like flu symptoms daily .Oh and carpel tunnel ,chronic fatige ,I have had ebstein barr @ 22 yrs ......The list goes on and on ...

Anyways, since then I've gained the weir back and my blood pressure has once again become high. Last reading was 154/101 as of last weekend. So I am back on the Atacand to try and get this under control again.
I already take Efexor XP 300mg daily, Alapam 30mg daily and medication for high blood pressure, Aldomet 500mg night and morning; Atacand 16mg daily, Dapatabs 30mg daily and 1800mg Caltrate following a bone density test, Somac 2 x 40mg tablets daily for Barrett's Disease and have a yearly endoscopy. Stress factors contribute to my general feeling of unwellness. I suffer with fibromyalgia and have arthritis in the spine and knees.
I am now on betaloc 100mg half a tablet / 12 hours and atacand 8mg at lunch time. my BP is average 130/80 and my HR is average 70 bpm. I still suffer from these attacks of irregular heart beats lasting fo seconds and without any other symptoms. another doctor advised me to do an upper GIT endoscopy or barium meal. I am very much confused ...
My BP is under control 110/70, with a low dosage beta blocker and Atacand. I also stopped all weight lifting---something that I have done for over 35 year. Recently, i have the urge to weight lift as my upper body has literally shrunkj. My question is if I restricted my lifting dumb bells only, a max of 30 minutes 3x per week and not to exceed 25 pounds, would i be putting my self at any risk? I speed walk every day for an hours and i have no other restrictions.
I got sick and tired of feeling like a Zombie because of the Medication. I seem ok with my Atacand blood pressure Medication. I decided I didn't want to feel unwell no more and have a better quality of life and to feel well. I turned to an experienced naturepath who is also certified as a professional. She put me on a few natural alternatives and diet. I also stepped up my excercise regime.
It's unbelievable that I made so many mistakes just writing down my problems, the worst is I forgot I entered this and entered again tonight. I've been having problems for 7 years until diagnosed. I'm not sure how this site works. This cognitive problems is not good. Questions is this a problem of MG, drugs, alzheimer's, a stroke or depression. I haven't called the my nerulogist yet. He said to call if I saw double. Concerning county mental health, why county?
