Avatar f tn I reverted to menopausal symptoms eg hot flushes, tiredness, joint aches and pains, lack of motivation, depression approximately 15 years after completing the menopause. My doctor has put me back on Premia 5 continuous which has relieved some of my feelings of lack of well being but I am still lethargic and suffer severe flushes. Are there any dietary issues I should be addressing.
Avatar n tn I agree, looks like the tests came back good. Try to stay busy when they hit, and try not to stress to much(easier said than done) Good luck!
Avatar m tn ve been fighting high blood pressure for a few years now. In 2010 my Doctor had me wear a mobile automated blood pressure device to see how my blood pressure was over a 24hr period and it was consistently high (don't remember the numbers) so he put me on Atacand to help bring it down. At the same time I began changing my diet and started exercising regularly and ultimately lost 60lbs and was off the Atacand after a few months.
Avatar n tn What does her doctor say? I would follow her dr.s advice.

Your doctor may have to change the doses of your medication or monitor you more carefully for side effects. tell your doctor if you have or have ever had organic brain syndrome (any physical condition that affects the way your brain works); or thyroid, heart, or kidney disease. Also tell your doctor if you have severe diarrhea, excessive sweating, or fever. Call your doctor if you develop these symptoms during your treatment.
Avatar f tn I think there should be a specialty in medicine for people suffering from medication side effects and for those who are hypersensitive to medications. I need to be on medication for high blood pressure. I have tried HCTZ, toporal XL, Verapamil, Atacand, and am now on Coreg. The doctors are getting fed up with me because I can't tolerate the side effects, but I can't help it. I wish they could feel what I feel so they would know this is no picnic for me.
Avatar n tn I got sick and tired of feeling like a Zombie because of the Medication. I seem ok with my Atacand blood pressure Medication. I decided I didn't want to feel unwell no more and have a better quality of life and to feel well. I turned to an experienced naturepath who is also certified as a professional. She put me on a few natural alternatives and diet. I also stepped up my excercise regime.
Avatar m tn My BP is under control 110/70, with a low dosage beta blocker and Atacand. I also stopped all weight lifting---something that I have done for over 35 year. Recently, i have the urge to weight lift as my upper body has literally shrunkj. My question is if I restricted my lifting dumb bells only, a max of 30 minutes 3x per week and not to exceed 25 pounds, would i be putting my self at any risk? I speed walk every day for an hours and i have no other restrictions.
Avatar n tn It was excruciating pain in my throat and ear. With medication, the blisters disappeared, but my sense of taste was all fouled up when I was able to eat again. At first, things tasted metallic or chemically, then that subsided and things tasted like cardboard, and now, I can taste mostly extremely salty or sweet food. In addition, the worst problem I'm having now is that I have the feeling that there is something stuck in my throat...something big.
1557045 tn?1294555036 I had a CT Angiogram done for any Aortic disection or Aortic aneurysm, all came back clear, my aorta and all related vessels were within normal range. 1325672 tn?1290084214 ) Your Doctor wants to put you on an extended release formulas because the medication your on is a short acting medication that will eventually stop working due to tolerance and you will just have to keep taking more and more. Most CP Pt's do take a long acting medicine with a short acting medication for break thru pain.
