I read about a trial where they were using Candesartin (Atacand) to prevent scar tissue from forming in the liver, as it's an angiotensin receptor blocker.
Atacand saved my life. I had heart failure, almost on the transplant list. I found a great doc at UCDavis (after firing one in Auburn who almost killed me), who put me on the Atacand. My heart is now normal!
So when I saw this trial I was really curious.

No. Even though they are both of the same drug classification (flouroquinalones), there is significant differences. My experience is anecdotal, but significant. I cannot tolerate Levaquin at all, but take Cipro without any side effects. I know at least four other individuals with the same tolerance for Cipro.
What does her doctor say? I would follow her dr.s advice.

Hi all I am 50 (will b 51 in few months), with high bp managed with Atacand plus and last visit my doc said im perimenopausal.
At the end of last year my cycle missed then it came on 18th Feb and lasted till 22nd March.
It then returned couple days ago and I've spent the day with horrible cramps and each evening around 6pm it's as it a tap has been turned on and I bleed profusely. I am going to my doctor first thing Monday but just wondered if anyone else has had this experience?
Hello , I am 43 year old and have high blood pressure i regularly take high BP medicines metropolol and Atacand 16 plus. I have taken all test and my heart seem ok and vessels are clear but my left chest pain just above the left breast does not go away. pain sometimes extend to left arm. also i have a left leg slight partial tightness feeling, Shortness of breath, Chest heaviness, fatigued, sleepy and irritable, Excessive daytime drowsiness, . Doctor says nothing is wrong!
He takes Atacand, Norvasc and Bystalic for blood pressure, Zolof, Restasis for his eyes and an Excelon Patch for his memory. He is very stubborn and refuses to go to a geriatric doctor and his own doctors don't seem to know nor do they seem concerned about what's causing it.

I have diabetes ll. My doctor has given me Actos 30 mg. I have been hearing a lot about this drug and none of it's good, saying long term use causes bladder cancer. My last A1c was 6.1 although now due for another one. I'm not sure the risk involved with this drug is worth the benefits as my sugar is not out of control and my numbers are always under 175. t remember the numbers) so he put me on Atacand to help bring it down. At the same time I began changing my diet and started exercising regularly and ultimately lost 60lbs and was off the Atacand after a few months. Anyways, since then I've gained the weir back and my blood pressure has once again become high. Last reading was 154/101 as of last weekend. So I am back on the Atacand to try and get this under control again.
I am 38 yrs old. WT 222 ht 5'4, diabetic and taking lipitor, and 2 mg atacand. Female and Hispanic. I have had a constant cough for quite a while. I would like to know why?
