Avatar f tn Hi there, My husband is going to the VA. And he is a non-responder. He went through treatment 3 or 4 years ago. I read about a trial where they were using Candesartin (Atacand) to prevent scar tissue from forming in the liver, as it's an angiotensin receptor blocker. Atacand saved my life. I had heart failure, almost on the transplant list. I found a great doc at UCDavis (after firing one in Auburn who almost killed me), who put me on the Atacand. My heart is now normal!

At the end of last year my cycle missed then it came on 18th Feb and lasted till 22nd March. It then returned couple days ago and I've spent the day with horrible cramps and each evening around 6pm it's as it a tap has been turned on and I bleed profusely. I am going to my doctor first thing Monday but just wondered if anyone else has had this experience?
Avatar n tn He takes Atacand, Norvasc and Bystalic for blood pressure, Zolof, Restasis for his eyes and an Excelon Patch for his memory. He is very stubborn and refuses to go to a geriatric doctor and his own doctors don't seem to know nor do they seem concerned about what's causing it.
Avatar f tn My doctor has put me back on Premia 5 continuous which has relieved some of my feelings of lack of well being but I am still lethargic and suffer severe flushes. Are there any dietary issues I should be addressing.
745331 tn?1232830226 Digioxin, Atacand, Carvedialol, Laisx, Sastin, and Asprin 81 mg twice. My cardiac parametres EF: 48 MR: 1- 2+ TR: 1- 2+ Liver and kidney function tests are more or less within the range. Uric acid is usually high.
Avatar f tn I too have used Lyrica (pregabalin) for chronic pain. While it was prescribed for one particular pain problem, as a side effect it has managed to reduce my neckpain and relax the otherwise ridiculously tight neck and upper shoulder muscles that stabilise the neck. The effect didn't kick in strongly for me until I was using fairly high daily doses of 450--600mg/day. I have found that a single 300mg dose in the morning does the trick, usually.

Avatar n tn It was excruciating pain in my throat and ear. With medication, the blisters disappeared, but my sense of taste was all fouled up when I was able to eat again. At first, things tasted metallic or chemically, then that subsided and things tasted like cardboard, and now, I can taste mostly extremely salty or sweet food. In addition, the worst problem I'm having now is that I have the feeling that there is something stuck in my throat...something big.
Avatar m tn My BP is under control 110/70, with a low dosage beta blocker and Atacand. I also stopped all weight lifting---something that I have done for over 35 year. Recently, i have the urge to weight lift as my upper body has literally shrunkj. My question is if I restricted my lifting dumb bells only, a max of 30 minutes 3x per week and not to exceed 25 pounds, would i be putting my self at any risk? I speed walk every day for an hours and i have no other restrictions.
Avatar n tn I am 54 years of age. I had a triple bypass surgery done some 18 months back. I suffer from a hereditary high Cholesterol problem and there is heart desease in my Family. I didn't think I'd be fit enough to start running again. I thought this mainly because of having had the surgery and also because the Cholesterol Medication impeeded my breathing some what also. Lipitor, Crestor, Zocor> You name them I had them and non of them I can tolerate. They all make me feel quiet un well.

Avatar m tn YEAH!!!!!! I am out of afib!!!! Back in normal sinus rhythm. I guess I am one of those (lucky) less than 20% that do convert spontaneously from the anti-arrhythmic alone. NSR....what is the real normal? I am on metaprolol and atacand so what is the real story? This chapter may be over but, the book is far from finished. It was so good to be able to walk nonstop from the parking garage (stairs up and down) all the way to cardiology without being out of breath.
