Common Questions and Answers about Arthrotec what is it

arthrotec

Avatar f tn Arthrotec works well but is useless as most nsaids are during a R.A flare. If you are only having mild RA pain and just need something to keep it under control I highly reccomend trying Arthrotec. I am not a physician so of course speak to your RA Dr before using arthrotec dont want any issues with contradicting other meds you may be taking. Of course only you know what your pain level is and on major flare days only strong narcotics will help sometimes.
Avatar f tn From what it sounds like is maybe Fibromyalgia. Did you only get tested for RA? I've been tested for Lupus, RA, Lymes disease, B12 def. (which was low), Ect... If you have been tested for everything else, I would assume Fibro. Can you ask your Dr. for a referral to a specialist?
Avatar f tn Arthrotec is an NSAID, aspirin is also an NSAID, if that helps any. I don't thinks is quite as hard on your stomach as plain aspirin is though.
426655 tn?1219893192 I find it hard to walk then as it is so painful. Basically, I have to take my medication one hour prior to getting up so I can move around a little easier. My medication is as follow: Morning: 1 Percocet 2 oxycodon 1 arthrotec and some anxiety meds... Yes, my mental health is slowly going down...
780647 tn?1304020942 I also see that a physician prescribed Arthrotec for you. Arthrotec is used to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in people at high risk for developing stomach or intestinal ulcers. Both conditions can be extremely painful which explains the symptoms you are experiencing. Have you began the medication yet? It may take some time before you see the benefits. Some times NSAID's need to "build up" in your system before they are truly effective.
Avatar f tn Which means that it’s migrating downward along the back and to the side of your S1 vertebra. It is also indenting (pushing) on the thecal sac. The thecal sac is the outer covering of the spinal canal. This disc herniation is also entangling (compressing, disturbing the path) of your SI nerve root within its lateral recess. The lateral recess is an area that the spinal nerves travel through.
Avatar n tn i want to know could it slow down the healing process? is it necessary to use arthrotec?
393986 tn?1303825975 s group is crazy active, (like it is here) I did start a drug called Arthrotec and it ended up me being in the hospital with a GI bleed, go figure, finally find a combination that seemed to be working good... Grrr... I've been off treatment completely for about a month now and I am back in a flare... I'm going to have to start doing the injections, and I am a big chicken-s**t!!! But anyway, gotta go for now!!! I Miss You All!!!
Avatar m tn i am on very high doses of morphine, oramorph, tramadol, dihydrocodeine, baclofen, arthrotec & some paracetamol for a bad back. I also have osteoporosis & take calcium tablets for this too. This has gone on for 5 years since i fell off the back of my old works truck. Oh & 2 lots of pills for high blood pressure.
513154 tn?1340225289 Tramadol is not classified as a narcotic, however, it is as close to narcotic as any other narcotic, so if you are looking for a non-habit forming drug or something with less side effect from a narcotic, Ultram/tramadol may not be the route to take. NSAID have been shown to be effective with osteoarthritis.
Avatar m tn Here it is simply, I have had 5 and after the 1st I thought I was fixed, after that the other 4 helped very little-Pain Management Dr.said its good as long as you are good to it!!!!
Avatar f tn Have you asked your Dr. abt. Arthrotec ? It is supposed to help out alot for people who can't take regular nsaids. The Imodium has something in it that is suposed to help with the receptors in the stomach. It will help with the diareah too. If you have muscle rub then go for that, I use Voltaren gel alot for my arthritis. It does seem to help. Doesn't smell bad either. Epsom salts in the hot/warm bath water, soak awhile. Heating pads are wonderful too.
Avatar f tn If you have degeneration of the discs or disc disease and nothing can be done surgically there must be a doctor that will manage your pain. There have to be other people who live where you live who are in need of help to manage chronic pain. Please do a search for doctors, MD's or Internists who deal with chronic pain. Something doesn't sound right here.
Avatar n tn I've taken 8 grams of tylenol yesterday morning and 9 grams of it this morning (all were taken in one dose), but I don't feel 'gross' or whatever. I can't fall asleep easily at night but nap during the day (i'm unemployed now), my urine is pale green or white, my stomach is distended (bloated), I have malaise, and tire out SO easily. I can't even bother to shower everyday anymore. Before yesterday, I was taking 3.
Avatar f tn I guess it is aspirin. It causes a lot of bloating of the stomach.
Avatar m tn I had an MRI to see if I ruptured another disc, I have had previous back surgery, the mri ruled out my disc..nothing helps this pain feel better,it is worse when I sit, it is constant, and burning in my left butt cheek, and down my thigh, and when walking it changes to the side of my left knee, and calf, and back of my thigh..the only time that I am pain free is lying down. I am so sick of this, and my DR i now thinking it could be my hip.
1232362 tn?1333135406 The dr visit went ok, she found the my left shoulder is higher than the other (that's all I see when I look in the mirror now!) but she felt it's only a strain and suspects alot of it is due to stress. We're trying similar: muscle relaxants, pain pills and patches and she gave me a referral to a pain mgmt for in the future. Fingers crossed! Hope you feel better too, the pain can really impact your life!
Avatar f tn Mine only lasts for like 3-5 seconds! Then it goes and comes back again.. I have no idea what it is but my gosh is it painful!
Avatar f tn you may be experiencing Braxton hicks contractions :) or baby curling up in an awkward position. happens to me a lot :) completely harmless.
