I am going to see a specialist. My family doctor put me on arthrotec 75 mg. which does help with the pain. I can now move my arms without horrible pain. I am supposed to take it twice a day but it is unbelievable the cost of this stuff. Is that something they use for Fibro ? Any of this type medication has bad side effects.
i have an undisplaced tibia fracture and the doctor prescribe arthrotec. i want to know could it slow down the healing process? is it necessary to use arthrotec?
I cannot sleep longer than for 2 hours. I was given Tramadol and Arthrotec for the pain. I now take Arthrotec and paracetamol after suffering a vomiting fit. ll take more injections with more caution. Interesting though that the anti-inflammatory arthrotec and 25 mg nortriptyline seemed to do the job before the injections!
I'm with Cindee on this one, firstly what type of Dr. dx you? People can have more than one type of arthritis at the same time, if you haven't already you need to see a Rheumatologist and get all new labs done. I take Enbrel for my disease ( AS), my last rheumy gave me a RX for Lyrica which I did not even bother filling, not interested in gaining weight thank you! If you've been on Mobic for a long time it is entirely possible your body is no longer responding to it.
i am on very high doses of morphine, oramorph, tramadol, dihydrocodeine, baclofen, arthrotec & some paracetamol for a bad back. I also have osteoporosis & take calcium tablets for this too. This has gone on for 5 years since i fell off the back of my old works truck. Oh & 2 lots of pills for high blood pressure.
Have you asked your Dr. abt. Arthrotec ? It is supposed to help out alot for people who can't take regular nsaids.
The Imodium has something in it that is suposed to help with the receptors in the stomach. It will help with the diareah too. If you have muscle rub then go for that, I use Voltaren gel alot for my arthritis. It does seem to help. Doesn't smell bad either. Epsom salts in the hot/warm bath water, soak awhile. Heating pads are wonderful too.
I was on Arthrotec and Mefenamic (at different times) and both really did a number on my stomach. Now I'm on iv morphine. From what I can remember also, when I took Codeine a long time ago, I would also get a lot of stomach pain or chest pain and get really hot in the face. Weird it don't happen with morphine.
I guess my post wasn't much help. Sorry. But just check about the aspirin.
I have taken ibuprofen which does not help. the doctor gave me arthrotec and i have taken it for three days. it didnt help tonight. i am taking a pain killer but i hate taking them.
Please is there any relief in site?

About a month ago, I went to a clinic and was prescribed Arthrotec - those pills made me get really physically sick plus gave me a horrible nightmare (it was listed as a side effect). After two days I stopped them and went back to Tylenol.
Yes, Sherry, I've been taking them daily for over 6 weeks now. In large amounts, but it's only because the clinics here refuse to prescribe stronger, more effective barbituates - unless you have a regular doctor.
it was suggested in substance abuse forum that maybe i should try here for answers. i dont really have a question as such but here is me. i had a fall off the back of a lorry 5 years ago and in the last 5 years i have all sorts of medical intervention from injections, relaxation, steroids, exercise right through to finally a spinal fusion ( 4 years after my accident ).

Sweetheart that's not love , no matter how much u care for him. He doesn't care about ur wellbeing of your baby . I'm 7 months and had to leave my boyfriend 2 months ago because of physical fighting. ITS NOT WORTH IT. Your better off alone then with a man like that. You deserve better and one day u will get it, but being with him will only hold you back .... I had to think about it this way.
5hrs, and my responsibilities are to make sure he/she is clean at all times, My duties are Wash/shower, change his/her clothes,change his/her pad, apply cream on his body and make him breakfast, now he accused my of abuse which I don't know what that abuse he'she is talking about?
It could be many reason. 1) how often do you change the pad? / Does it need to be changed more often? 2) are you careful not to hurt them? 3) If this person needs the attention from their family they may say what they think will get that extra attention. 4) are you sure it is the client and not the family accusing you? 5) Have you treated your client like a client if so maybe you should try treating your client like a friend and ask what you did and go from there.
If he is willing its always worth a try especially with a child Two permanent parents is the best thing, if he wont try and continues then only one way and thats to leave , your son will eventually be part of the abuse he lives in the same house there is no way he wont see and hear it ....
