Avatar f tn If you google blogilates arm workout there is a great one. Some of the exercises seem odd but I did it and for the first time ever saw muscles in my arms!! I could see them later that day. It's hard but imagine if you did it even just a couple of times a week.

Avatar f tn I know I have muscle definition in my stomach, I can feel it, (quite literally), but I have to burn off a layer of fat to be able to see them. also, I drink about a gallon or more of water a day, and try to eat very little sugar, besides in fruits. how long should it take to burn that layer of fat at this rate? are there any good workouts and or things to incorporate that will help with fat loss and abdomen muscles?
211940 tn?1267884866 Pain in the upper right arm is excruciating at night and last night it started slightly in left arm. Have resorted to sleeping in almost a sitting position to keep arms straight because pain is worsened if arm is bent. Pain meds for last three nights did not help. Dr. said it may be overuse of the muscle due to the physical work I do. She said pain meds only will help a little, need anti-inflammatory meds which I am allergic to and cannot take. Has anyone tried those?

Avatar f tn He sent me for some bloodwork first and told me to continue with the exercises he gave me. He mentioned he might have to send me to a specialist. Then when I saw him last week he had a medical student with him and he told her he was treating me for sciatica?! I told him what he said the last time and he seemed puzzled! My CBC was fine and showed no problems. He's doing some other tests for my fatigue (only because I inisisted something doesn't feel right).

I am not sure how much weight your daughter has to lose, but my sister wanted to drop a couple sizes to get down to what was her usual size. Try keeping a food diary and see if that helps you pick up on any factor that may be adversely affecting your weight loss. Despite having lost no weight do you feel better? Look better? Sometimes with exercise you can be toned, etc but still weigh the same. Try looking at Dr Beckerman's blogs.
1729448 tn?1342098337 Sounds like you maybe would benefit from adding in some exercise to help tone up areas but that doesnt have to cost money - running and some arm/leg/ tummy/butt exercises (which you could find online) would all help. Unfortunately if after you have toned up all of the areas you still have loose skin there isnt really anything that can be done about - other than surgery which at your age wouldnt really be advisable.

But I really just want to lose the flab in my upper arms and stomach without losing my *** or breast. I know that liposuction and tummy tuck is an option for me but I cannot afford the cost and all the complications that come with it.

Avatar f tn My recommendation is to exercise go walking but dont over due it walk enough that you break a little sweat, do arm exercises with 3lb to 5lb weights. If you didnt work out prior to pregnancy I dont recommend to do any weights. I say stick to walking every day about 30min, some squats as it helps for when you go to labor, and eat foods with natural fats and protein. Things like nuts, bananas, green veggies.

My experience has been that I had to lose most of the fat through aerobic exercise all over first, then I could tone and tighten with target training in certain areas.
Avatar f tn I just got back from my 6 week post partum check so I can start exercising again but it is so hard to get rid of. They tell you crunches help, but be warned that you have to get rid of any fat tissue first, otherwise the crunches will build muscle that will push out your fat and make it look even worse (did that with my first baby). Best thing to do is to burn the fat and then tighten your belly. If that isn't working could be that you have extra skin now too from it being stretched.

Avatar n tn With regards to toning your stomach it is a two part process. You need to burn calories through aerobic exercise to lose some of the fat and strengthtening exercises to tone the muscle. If you don't have time to do both I find it is more satisfying (though it takes a little longer) to first lose the fat and then tone.

Suggest dancing which is fun and will help to maintain/lose weight. Limit time in front of the TV/DVD or non-active-video games.
