1456938 tn?1314577036 The mat exercises are a tough one, I am finding myself really gunning to do exercises on the machines but I still have not done a single mat exercise since I started, I am not sure why as I know they work (I lost a stone before when I got into a habit of push ups, sit ups and squats 3 times a day, I have no idea why I stoped) Last but not least before I got to bed, the exercise level I want to get to is really not about fitness, it is more weight and stamina, I weighed myself yesterday and I
Avatar n tn My husband had a stroke May 28, 2006 and has regained very little movement in right leg, almost none in right arm. I won't be able to take care of him at home unless he can get more use of his right leg. Does anyone know whether the BioMove actually helps stroke survivors regain movement on affected side, or is it jus hype?
Avatar n tn I was doing a daily routine of walking and upper body exercises until my pectoral muscles on my left side started to act up again.
Avatar n tn The pain now is not only in my chest but also on my upper right shoulder blade, right side of neck, down my right arm to my finger tips, and also under my arm by where the bra strap sits. At times it feel as if my right breast hurts as well. I feel helpless because I have gone to several doctors and have gone from pill to pill. I have noticed that icing it helps and also at times I'll go home and have my husband massage my upper back, which I guess would be called the rhomboid area.
Avatar n tn try to make her aware of that side. Re arm movement coming back...I have been told that the arm and hand movement is one of the last things to come back, due to the fact that it takes so much "brain power" for hand movements...she will probably walk first. I hope these posts help you, it is very hard for the family and the stroke victim.
Avatar f tn I have a lump on my underarm. It is not painful but it is ugly and it makes me very self conscious. When I got pregnant it really got big and filled with milk my doctor said it was breaast tissue that traveled into my armpit and that as long as it didn't hurt it really wasn't anything to worry about. It just looks like extra baggy skin and as a result I can't wear sleeveless tops. I've never known anyone else who has this to ask what they think or feel.
Avatar f tn It is not a 90 degree bend more like a 70 degree bend. Im worried because on other medical sites it says olny middle aged men get this or men in their 20s.
Avatar n tn first at the crook of the arm and then as sagging in the inner arm area. The cream that has been mentioned here has no scientific merit in terms of fighting this sagging. The primary cause is depletion of elastin and to reverse this to any degree, one must stimulate the fibrobast cells that manufacture collagen and elastin and also attempt to reverse the primary cause of it - glycation.
299260 tn?1304219705 I'm just going to learn more exercises to do while in bed to keep the blood flow in my legs. Thanks for the info. I'm planning to purchase my breast pump, as well as some baby essentials online today.
Avatar n tn You could try yoga. It's a calming exercise. Maybe just walking for cardio exercise. Also, stay away from caffiene. Oh, and make sure you don't get dehydrated, that will cause the heart rate to go up too. I am 38 yr old female and my heart rate sometimes goes to 200+bpm during exercise. I also get pain when it's that high. Dr. put me on a beta blocker to slow the heart rate down. Check with your doctor about what might help you. Good luck!
Avatar f tn This was 5 months ago and I still have chest pain (pain in right breast, aching in left arm and under arm, sometimes pressure in upper chest). I have not felt well since the big event, except that I have more energy. My pain tends to get a little more intense as the day progresses. I can start out my day happy and hopeful, but in the evening I get gloomy and think as you said, "is this a life sentence?" I am 50, normal weight, no diabetes, but heart disease does run in the family.
807420 tn?1238225628 Cluster headaches are the worst, and also the rarest headaches experienced, only affecting about 1% of the population. They are more common in men than women, in fact, 90% of people that get them are men. Women who get them describe them as being worse than childbirth. Symptoms vary from person to person, can be random, or, more often, on a "schedule", at the same time each month, year etc.
Avatar m tn Thought Stopping The first exercise that my dr started me on was the thought stopping exercises in CBT. He wanted me to write down my thoughts and what feelings those thoughts caused. While in the manic depression it was very hard to do. It was very basic but trying to catch a thought when you are depressed is like trying to catch a moving train. I would literally have to work hours just to catch a handful of thoughts.
Avatar n tn it's not necessarily as bad as some of those sites and pictures make it out to be. I've had it for years with nothing more than the bumps and the itching (which can drive you mad); an eighty year old doctor showed me both his palms and told me not to worry about it - he'd had no other problems either. (Although if your bumps are growing aggressively then I guess you need to make decisions).
Avatar n tn 4 years) -Watching dirtier and dirtier porn to get it up (starting with pictures of girls) -Hitting the old man harder and harder in a crazy, non natural way All this applies to me! I've even visited two urologists who both said I was totally healthy. I did not belive them. There had to be something wrong physically! Now, I know they were right! I hope I heal soon!
Avatar n tn Hey guys! I thought I was the only one suffering from this! I too have this same problem, but my problems started about 3 years ago when I was in my shower, doing some kegel or these "stretch" exercises. My penis immediately became limp and upon feeling my penis discovered what felt like my muscles were locked up. I started freaking out.
324911 tn?1276284982 sorry girls, i feel like i've been so busy! nursery finished and i will post pictures soon! hey, where is everyone from? i wish we could all meet up after babies but i think we live so far! like not even in the same country! i live in us, east coast--maryland. you know, i remember reading somewhere that medhelp has reunions annually for everyone to meet. they are held in different locations all around. mandy-you are so sweet to think of us! yes, i registered at babiesrus.
Avatar n tn Have had swelling that started at right breast and has gradually spread across ribcage to back around shoulder blade, swelling above clavicle spreading up neck and jawline, swelling, numbness, and very heavy feeling of right arm. Rt arm and hand tend to feel cold compared to left. Sometimes it feels so heavy by the end of the day, I can not even pick it up w/o the help of my other arm.
79998 tn?1291188201 Day 5 will be another challenge but as long as I do my exercises, stick to my routine of supplements and diet, I know I'll make it. The only thing this withdrawal helped me realize is that...if I can go through the intense inhumane torturous pain I went through when my withdrawal peaked...I CAN DO ANYTHING. It took me some serious balls to make it through that but now that I did I feel strong like nothing can stop me.
Avatar n tn he also suggested strengthening the muscles of the vaginal wall by doing tightening exercises in order to gain some degree of control. just wanted to share this information, as i know how desperate i was when trying to find some information as to what was going on!
Avatar m tn Firstly I am glad this discussion is still open, we all need to get to the bottom of this horrible disorder, I still don't know what can actually make the penis shrink SO BAD that it feels like it is wasting away, we are all young men and deserve to know exactly what it is.
Avatar n tn Most women I know can tell the difference in the way her man treats her whether he understands her or not. Men and women are different and I think that if men would seek to understand his mate and his mate encouraged his freedom and he understood when to use that freedom, and therefore she could trust him hence feeling a lot more safe to expose herself more often, I think both parties would be happier.
314692 tn?1214084110 One of the things I did to take the fear out of this for my girls is that I promised my youngest that when my hair fell out she could draw on my head. I did that and we have the best pictures! My daughter even tokk the pictures and made a book called "Chemo Monster". It is so cute and it lets them see that you are not afraid - much. There isn't much that is fun about Breast Cancer, so go ahead - have some fun with this!
Avatar n tn Symptoms include chronic blocked ears (comes and goes in intensity but is always present), a crunching noise when I move my jaw around sometimes, some ringing of the ears especially when trying to sleep. Breathing exercises sometimes help to relieve pressure but as soon as I get a little under the whether the blocking comes back with a vengeance, and no amount of breathing exercises will help. I have seen 4 different ENT specialists none of them could help.
Avatar n tn I think I did too much though cause today my arm near my arm pit is really sore (it feels like sore muscles) and my neck muscle is sore too. It has been 10 days since my shot. The tingling and numbness has mostly gone away except in my feet now it's just muscle soreness....
Avatar n tn Do you have any previous abdominal surgeries? Do you engage in exercises like cycling exercises? Pudendal neuralgia is usually associated with frequent cycling exercises. The pain may be aggravated by sitting down. The pudendal nerve supplies the genital and perineal areas and in your case these forms of neuralgia are all to be considered. I suggest that you seek consult with a rehabilitation medicine specialist for further evaluation.
220917 tn?1309788081 I do have swallowing problems from time to time, but mine are, and I think this sounds weird, spasticity issues. I am having a lot of trouble with spasms in my legs, arm and neck, but I wonder if that might be the problem with my throat, too. Sometimes food just hangs there, as when I was really ill last spring. But that just seemed like me throat muscles wouldn't work, maybe the heaviness, like what you're talking about. Like my swallowing mechanism was confused.
Avatar n tn A dear friend of mine has this issue also, but she is in constant pain, she can feel the pain go down her arm and then her hand swells and a vessel pops and bruises instantly. She's been to every Dr. there is and no one has an answer. If anyone ever does get and actual diagnoses please share.
