After brachytherapy for my cancer, I am in remission, and after 2+ years resumed taking androgel. I am on androgel again, and have high Testosterone levels (about 1000), but my libido has never recovered. I also have had hypothyroidism, but have been taking synthroid for it for many years with no adverse impact on my libido.
Does anyone have a suggestion for what to do?
Oh also I would like to say that i was on testosterone booster while this all started...testosterone booster can enlarge the prostate which can back up the urinary tract...causing urine to sit there and maybe lead to a UTI???? Could this be the case? because both times I have gotten these symptoms, I was on testosterone booster. Could be the culpret. Also since I have stopped masturbating, I feel as if Im backed up...when i get aroused i have a clear substance come out of my penis...
The cancer has not returned (I take Arimidex). However, I my ribs underneath my breast are very painful - they can hardly tolerate any touch or pressure. My Oncologist has told me that every women she has treated for the same also complain about bone pain on the site where the radiation took place. What is the reason for this? Could it be a weakening of the bone structure due to the medicine, or did the radioation cause it?

I have Hypogonadism treated wth testosterone and arimidex. I do wonder if arimidex can trigger afib. I have OSA and wear CPAP at night......Also during my sleep study I had a couple central apneas too.....So I wonder if I rally have a mixed Sleep apnea. I am 34 years old.
Hypothyroidism (Primary only high TSH normal T3 T4), Severe Hypogonadism Testosterone level is 141 and DHT is even lower 6 (25-80). I have insulin resistance with aconthosis in every place you can imagine and no diabetes, low INHIBIN B (infertility), low SHBG.

It is not micropenis in the table but in the gray area and the doctor said that the penis will be small in size. He didn't suggest the injection but also didn't tell that it is not allowed to inject. You can consult a urologist and get prescribed testosterone replacement therapy. Testosterone replacement therapy can be prescribed as an intramuscular injection usually given on a biweekly basis, as a patch or gel placed on the skin, or as putty that is applied to the gums of the mouth. Please do not try test freak as it is not without side effects.

Might there be some other problem associated with the way my body absorbs and uses Testosterone? Even after the injection I'm feeling down, low energy, and can cry at the slightest little thing - my emotions are all out of whack.

i still have yet to recieve all of my test results, i wont get them all in until next week tuesday. but i just found out my FSH is 1.5 mIU/mL. FSH should be between 1.6 - 8.0 mIU/mL. ideally a man aged 20-30 wants to have an FSH level of at least 2.0 mIU/mL.
I took my birth control pill both mornings but forgot to take it the next morning and went all day without it. Total T, Free Testosterone, SHBG and Estradiol. Yes estrogen.
If you have higher SHBG and/or higher estrogen it would be sucking all your Testosterone leaving little Free testosterone which is all your body uses and you will have low T symptoms.
Not saying it is one or the other or both. But at your age you have the total T level of about a 70 year old man! And that is NOT anything close to "normal".
I think you will be given a full endocrine workup. They can easily replace the testosterone with a suplement (directly giving testosterone rather than any booster supplement).
Most of these things are quite treatable if they can be properly defined and monitored and you have a good endo.

re extremely low. I hate estrogen pills like arimidex and aromasin. Is cialis safe to take with Entecavir? I thought about adding Cialis but the headaches and flu like symptoms can be bad at times but it works every time.
Dear madwilson, Hairloss is not a usual side effect associated with Arimidex. Arimidex is an aromatase inhibitor. This means it blocks the enzyme aromatase (found in the body's muscle, skin, breast and fat), which is used to convert androgens (hormones produced by the adrenal glands) into estrogen. I was 38 and premenstrual. Following surgery, chemo and radiotherapy had 5 years of zoladex and arimidex which finished in Aug 2013.
My periods returned 10 months later but have been very irregular, cycles from 5 weeks to a 2 month and a 3 month cycle. I have had enormous problems with intermittent fatigue, muscle aches, painful breasts, mood wings (PMDD), hypertension. I am taking Arimidex (dx May 2007, IDC, 1 cm., grade 3, negative lymph nodes; had lumpectomy, sentinel node biopsy, chemo, radiation; I was 54 and perimenopausal at time of dx and chemo put me in menopause.)
