Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis symptoms lower right

appendicitis

Avatar m tn I have this pain in the lower right region of my abdomen, Its not a pain in which I cannot walk but there is a pain there. I went to get blood work done because my cousin which is a Doctor wanted to rule out an appendicitis. The WBC count came back at 10.1 where the normal range for that laboratory I believe was from 5 to 10. My cousin said that is not significant enough to point towards appendicitis. My lymphocte percentage was low at 20.3 percent, and my mean platelet volume was also low 6.8.
Avatar n tn Hi For about ten hours now, I've have a dull ache that comes and goes in my lower right abdomen. It's not currently severe, just a dull ache for about five seconds every two or so minutes, not continuous. Anybody else experience this? I read that it could be a symptom of IBS/IBD, which would make sense as I'm currently being tested for those conditions. I'm just terrified that it's early appendicitis as I've never experienced it before.
Avatar f tn This morning I woke up with a pain in my lower right abdomen. Its a constant dull pain, about a 4 or 5 on the 1-10 scale. The main pain is about directly 2-3inches to the left of my ASIS. It feels a little bit better when I'm sitting up instead of laying down. I have been going to the bathroom alot more than normal, but the stool is pretty normal, not diarhea.
Avatar m tn Lower right abdominal pain along with a tight, bloated abdomen is a symptom of appendicitis. Please go see your doctor as soon as possible!

Avatar f tn I went to the ER several months ago for severe pain in my lower right abdomen, along with uncontrollable diarrhea and vomiting. When in the ER, they did a pelvic exam to rule out PID, and were going to do an ultrasound to rule out appendicitis but decided not to when my bloodwork came back and my white blood cell count was only slightly elevated.
Avatar f tn Right side can be appendicitis. They need to check this again. I had chronic appendicitis with my daughter.. paid started just before I conceived. Kept getting worse and worse and no one was believing me except my obe, who kept sending me to gastro doctors who told me there was nothing wrong and to come back after the baby was born (in 6 months). Finally the pain was so bad my obe admitted me to the hospital.
Avatar m tn Over the past 8-9 months I have experienced intermittent pressure in my lower right abdomen. It rarely is accompanied by pain and is best categorized as discomfort. In the rare instance that there is pain, it is manifest as a pulsating dull ache (1 - 3 on the pain scale). Direct pressure on the abdomen does not increase or decrease the sensation of pain or pressure. Sitting upright at a desk all day tends to aggravate the area while laying down at night seems to ease the pressure.
Avatar f tn I have lower right abdominal pain, it seems to get very bad when I start to urinate, and also feel a lot of gas and pressure in the rectuM? what could this be?
Avatar f tn The last 2 days I have had a dull pain in my lower stomache on the lower right side.. Today or this evening it is a bit worse. I am noticing sharp pain when I breathe or when I move a certain way.. It is now constant... Not totally unbearable. Could this be appendicitis?
552053 tn?1273331741 For about 1 year now a little over I have had pain in my lower right abdomen. It would come and go but now it is more persistent and has not gone away for the last month or so. When i bend over it agravates it or walk ect.. there is NO bump there and my family doctor has told me that if it were something 'bad' it would have shown up by now in other organs IE if it were cancer.
Avatar f tn I would appreciate a little feedback from anyone who has experienced what I am dealing with. About 6 weeks ago I started to feel lower right side abdominal pain. It began as just an ache. The next day I had a gyno appointment so I tell him how I feel he thinks it could be an ovarian cyst or endometriosis and sends me for an ultrasound. Had the ultrasound everything came back normal except a small fibroid..
Avatar f tn Lower right abdomen pain often means appendicitis, and since that can become rather serious quickly, you should visit a doc as soon as you can. If you notice the pain is becoming very bad, go straight to the ER, don't hesitate. Now, that kind of pain can mean a few other things going on in your body that needs checking out, again a good reason to have a doc check you out, becuz some are serious or can become serious.
Avatar n tn I went to the ED in July with severe Right lower abdominal pain and bloating. I had my appendix out in 2005. The CT showed inflammation and my WBC's were elevated. I was diagnosed with diverticulitis and put on flaxyl and cipro. 2 weeks later I had diarrhea-woke me up at night and went 14-20 times a day for over a week. Had general fatigue and chills/aches at night. Had coloscopy in August-showed some mild inflammation in ilieum and rectal area-was put on Asacol.
Avatar n tn I have a pulling pain in the lower right quadrant of my stomach. I would like to know what could it be. It hurts from time to time i have to bend over to sto it from hurting, its not a constant pain. i also slight pain on the right side by my ribs that has just started a week ago.
Avatar n tn You should seek medical help as soon as possible. The two symptoms may be connected. The "migraine headache" may in fact be that you have a fever. Lower side abdomen pain may be appendicitis, or a viral or bacterial infection of the lymph gland in that area. Lymph glands that are inflamed in the abdomen can mimic appendicitis. Swollen lymph glands in the abdomen is called Mesenteric Adenitis.
Avatar n tn I have a stinging pain in lower right side of abdominal(similar place where the appendix is) and the pain is appeared irregulary(especially when lying on my back). I don't feel this pain in normal or during working somthing else but the pain always occurs when I lie on my back with stretched legs(so, I have been sleeping on my side bending my right knee for about 2 years as I can't lie on my back).
Avatar m tn Six months back I got pain at Right Lower Abdomen (RIF). The local GP thought Sub acute appendicitis and prescribed antibiotics. My WBC at that time was normal. The pain was intermittent, some times sharp and mild. I never took the antibiotics. The next day the local GP said no appendicitis. After 15 days still the symptoms continued occasionally and a went to a Gastroenterologist who advised to take Taxim-O an antibiotic. I took it for 5 days.
Avatar m tn lye down on the back and press deeply sopmewhere on your lower LEFT abdomen, then release the pressure quickly. In peritonitis or appendicitis you should feel a sharp pain on the LRQ area. Peritonitis would also show marked inflammation in the blood.
Avatar m tn Over the past two or three days I have had a slight discomfort in my right groin/side. I went to the doctor today, and after blood and urine came back normal, she said that I still might have appendicitis and said I might want to get a CT, though I don't show normal symptoms other than pain in my RLQ. The pain isn't constant and it isn't severe and hasn't really gotten any worse.
Avatar n tn I have had a dull ache on the lower right side of my abdomen for 3 days now. It has not gotten worse but only sustained. It is not a sharp or severe pain, just a dull ache very low on my right side just above my groin - near bikini line. There is no pain when pressing just a consistant ache. I took pepto because i was feeling bloated but it didn't really help. Normal bowel movements, no fever, no nausea no vomiting.
Avatar f tn Now the next day my lower right stomach is pretty tender, nowhere else, just lower right side. Should I be worried about appendicitis? Could it be tender from extreme gas and bloating? Thoughts?
Avatar m tn hi im really worried i have appendicitis, i had diarrhea for 3 days, and now after all of that my lower right and lower left sides have a dull, tenderness to them, its not severe pain but im worried it might become severe. the more i think and read abut it the more it hurts. above my belly button hurt when touched as well, i do not have a fever, and i have not been vomiting, but once in a while my stomach feels like there s a dull kick in those three areas.
