t have appendicitis, but they found that the lymph nodes near my appendix were swollen. They sent me home and told me to check up with my doc. so when i did a few days later, she told me i have a virus that causes my lymph nodes to swell. All she did was give me Naproxen because it's an anti-infammitory. But i could only take that for about three days becase it was very hard on my stomache, as i am only 16 and weigh about 125 pounds.
about 9 weeks ago i had an exposure albeit protected and i got an answer that i didnot have a risk but i have painful large lymph nodes in the lower back area and i have lost about 5,6 kgs of weight in this period,my question is about lymph nodes in hiv...when are they swollen,i read in ars they get swollen....so my main question is that after initial ars finishes then do the lymph nodes return to normal,if yes then after how long do they swell again or do they remain swollen after ars?
During the second surgery, which removed my remaining thyroid tissue, 3 lymph nodes were stuck to the side of the thyroid and were removed when the thyroid was removed, and 8 more swollen lymph nodes were removed in a clump from the "central compartment" of my neck. All 11 of those lymph nodes were non-cancerous.

I've been having lymph node AREA soreness for about 8 weeks. I haven't been able to locate and swollen lymph nodes themselves, but the pain is in the area of the lymph nodes in the neck, left elbow, groin, kidney area, and behind and below my right knee. If it is coming from the lymphs, shouldn't they be SWOLLEN or ENLARGED?
Testicles have hurt off and on the whole time, also.....

After my exposure(unprotected vaginal and oral with prostitute) I started to searching the net about the symptoms and saw that lymph nodes are very common in HIV. So I started poking myself and looking for lymph nodes on myself and I found several nodes in my groin(those are still the same size) and one small under my jaw. That's it! Hi everyone- I have had a swollen lymph node in my neck for over a year. I had an ultrasound done about 2 weeks after my old doctor first noticed it. The ultrasound was normal and nothing more was done. It has now been a year and it is still swollen and tender. But as the ultrasound was normal, I didn't really worry about it, until now. You see, I found a breast lump in my left breast last week (the swollen node in my neck is also on the left side).
I had an encounter with a sex worker about 1 month ago. For the last several weeks I've had swollen lymph nodes in my neck, I can't tell if any of my other lymph nodes are swollen. I'm not noticing anything swollen. I had an antibody test last week at 20 days which came back negative. Thanks for your message Laura! I have high TPO antibodies so my doctor is almost certain that I do have Hashimoto's. I was able to see an Endocrinologist and he said he's about 80% sure I don't have cancer but he wanted to order a core biopsy just to be sure. I am having it done tomorrow at 9:30am.
