Common Questions and Answers about Anxious vs anxiety

anxiety

Avatar f tn Im having trouble convincing myself that my 12 week negative is conclusive and continue to be anxious and quite dazed. 1) Since my symptoms started late and only 5 weeks elapsed between symptoms and my 12 week test, Im now afraid that the 3rd gen elisa I took @ 12 weeks, was somehow compromised and did not pick up a low level of antibodies. Or maybe my immune system is relatively sluggish.
Avatar f tn Ive been super anxious also but as soon as I picture my beautiful baby in my arms the anxiety goes away. Maybe look more into epidurals and NCB.

Avatar f tn How could you stand having a fast heart rate for so long??? I feel if it doesn't go away in like 15 minutes (when I know it's SVT), I have to go the ER just because I'm so scared and it's so uncomfortable for me. I would love to read your journal. Did you choose to be awake? How sedated were you? I want to be asleep because I'm so terrified of the procedure and all the horror stories I've read. I'm also quite anxious myself.
Avatar f tn 25 mg to try but I feel like when I take it, it actually makes my anxiety worse. I felt more anxious and felt like it made my chest feel funny making it harder for me to breathe. My mother has a prescription for Valium 5mg and she told my to take half of one of her pills which I did and I feel like that helped me better. My questions are: Has anyone felt their anxiety to get worse when taking xanax? and Do you prefer or think Valium works better than Xanax?
580765 tn?1274919360 I do know that anxiety can cause a lot of things but as far as I understand it one has to be anxious first. Yes, I get anxious too when I get no where with the docs but that is to be expected. As like you, I am sure we would know if we had anxiety issues or not. I even asked my hubby one day just in case I was biased. He said no way, you are one of the calmest level headed people I know. Now, yes he may be biased as well but he is usually the first to be totally honest with me.
915775 tn?1243249930 I have had anxiety ever since. Some heart arrhythmias can mimic anxiety attacks and are really hard to diagnose because they can be paroxysmal (suddenly start and suddently stop without warning). Often times, you can be having an issue with your heart rate, but it will only last 3-4 minutes and its not happening by the time you call an ambulance or go to the ER, the EKGs always come back fine...
Avatar f tn Was just kind of wondering who has better luck on which med for anxiety and panic attacks?
Avatar f tn The next time you find yourself in the ER with an anxiety attack, ask the doctor for a recommendation for a therapist or psychiatrist for your anxiety. The meds are only going to mask the symptoms and do nothing for the root cause of your anxiety. Benzos are not meds you want to fool around with any longer than is absolutely necessary.
Avatar n tn Ugh!! My anxiety is over the top... I have Pvc's all the time and the more I think about them, the worse it gets.. Its miserable!!! If I don't think about them they don't occur as much.
Avatar f tn t be affected by it and those who would be are anxious and the problem is anxiety. So focus on the anxiety part, that's the only health problem you appear to have.
1748105 tn?1314473206 Everytime I go into a flare, or see a doctor, or have any type of testing, I have terrible anxiety. And I have all three of these going on at the moment. I am especially panicking because I can't find any way to PROVE my symptoms. My left leg is extremely heavy. It feels HUGE, but its size is normal. I have a few numb spots on my thigh and my toes tingle a little. It feels very cold sometimes, but isn't when I touch it. And it sometimes feels like water is trickling down my leg.
1124887 tn?1313754891 I really enjoyed reading about your experiences, because I continue to debate the merits of SSRIs versus beta blockers in dealing with anxiety-induced arrhythmia. As I know you know, I suffer from anxiety that causes my heart to beat extremely rapidly, and occasionally to skip beats. For a long time, I was convinced that a beta blocker was the only thing that could help me. If my heart is going too fast, what better cure than a medication specifically designed to slow the heart?
Avatar f tn had severe eye pain 4 days been 2 a/e wont even look at me said its anxiety cant get second opinion im not mad opr crazy pain is real its scaring me anyone else get these symptoms
Avatar f tn Im 25 weeks pregnant and it hasnt happened till now. I do have a history of anxiety but all of a sudden its getting worse. Has anyone else been experiencing anxiety? Im soo scared to get another panick attack. And now im scared to have a panic attack during labor and birth...
Avatar f tn I struggled really bad when I was pregnant. There were a few times I had full blown sobbing panic attacks and I was convinced I was going to go into labor early and kill my baby. My daughter is now 17 months old and perfect. To be completely honest, I was in a very bad relationship and in a very bad situation. I didn't begin to feel better until I left my ex when our daughter was 5 months old. I don't know your situation but think about your life.
1348086 tn?1370783185 ve asked the million dollar question...how much anxiety is situational, and how much of it is related to your anxiety disorder? We all have those struggles, for sure. That's the thing with having anxiety, we are always overly focused on how we feel, we analyze everything to death, and sometimes, we're our own worst enemy. Stress is a normal human reaction, and NO doubt, anyone who would be dealing with all you are would be stressed, anxious and/or depessed to a point.
431685 tn?1324337598 does medication really help to deal with this kind of anxiety? I swear if only my anxiety was caused by something I know, I wouldn't be this anxious.. But this 'fear of the unknown' is the worst kind of anxiety..cause you just can't fight it and it's harder to figure out what is it that makes you anxious. It happens to me every night before falling to sleep. Just looking at the clock makes me anxious cause I know that's around the time when I'm going to get it.
628714 tn?1268238196 I am a very anxious person by nature so we decided I was having an anxiety attack. The more I pay attention to this excessive yawning thing the more I think the doctor is right. I tend to do it when I am anxious about something. So there isn't really anything I can do except try and relax when I am having an episode to calm myslef. Now that I am aware of what triggers these episodes I am able to calm myself and they only last about a day vs. when they were lasting weeks sometimes.
Avatar f tn You sincerely need to speak to your doctor about anxiety. This is an anxious question born out of your worry. If you address your anxiety then you can get on with life without this burden. Or the next mental burden and the next one. Tests often won't change at 21 days if they are a 4th generation Duo test but they are not considered conclusive until the 28 day mark. What someone should do is skip the 21 day test and wait until 28 days or beyond.
Avatar f tn Hello, It *could* be a symptom of Anxiety. But normally there's other symptoms, do you ever experience any other things when this happens? E.g. rased heart and breathing rate, dry mouth, sometimes chest pains? They would be physical symptoms, there's also psychological symptoms, including; mood swings, difficulty concentrating, sometimes tiredness etc. If you do also have those symptoms, then there's a good chance you've got anxiety problems.
