1294632 tn?1306362530 I've been taking Zispin now for the last couple of months because my anxiety was getting really bad, I only take it at night time and find it great for making me sleep, in fact it pretty much knocks me out.. lol. I have been taking Lexapro & Benzo's for many years now but since I've started taking the Zispin I seem to be putting on a lot of weight. It's annoying because it really helps my anxiety and depression.
Avatar n tn My MD initially prescribed Effexor which worked to an extent but left me feeling quite anxious and made it difficult to sleep. Since then he has put me on ZISPIN (Mirtazapine). Since starting ZISPIN I have suffered from very bad indegestion, which I'm now told is IBS (caused by my emtions). My stomach general feels upset, but occasionally it feels as if it is on fire. The bad stomach is making my panic worse which is making me feel depressed.
Avatar n tn if i was had a drug problem in the past will this zispin mirtazapine help me from going back to drug miss use

Avatar n tn My doctor switched me to mirtazapine (Remeron in the US, Zispin in Europe) 30mg 2 hours before bedtime. After one week I am noticing a huge difference. My sleep is no longer disturbed and my anxiety is virtually gone. The only side effect I notice at the moment is daytime sleepiness and I am told that this is dose related and will disappear shortly.
Avatar n tn For treating depression there is a drug called mirtazapine (also called Zispin by one company) which having tried many different anti-depressants over the years I have found effective. It also is nowhere near as addictive as some other anti depressants or benzos (valium, xanax and all that crap). I'm not sure if it's available where you live but I can't recomend it highly enough.
Avatar n tn Citalopram dissagreed with my stomach causing abdominal pains and diahorrea. They switched the Citalopram ro Zispin (Mirtazapine) which zombified me completely, and I had to come of off these after only three days. I'm now on 75mg Venlafaxine, 600mg Lithium Carbonate and 80mg Propranolol. I only have a few minor side effects at the moment, and so far so good. I don't sleep properly, so I've got 7.5mg Zopiclone to take also. How well known is Venlafaxine and how good is it.
Avatar n tn I was on Zispin oral, which i put on my tounge and was fairly good but then he took me off it and put me on Mirtazapine as he said , Exact words.' Mirtazapine is the same but cheaper to produce' . I noticed the diference in about a week or so, wnet back to see G.p and he refused to change them, so I've had depression for about two years. It goes for a while but comes back.
Avatar f tn Remeron is actually an anti-depressant, and your doctor was right in that it doesn't have too many anti-anxiety qualities. In SOME people, it may worsen anxiety a bit. Have you tried any other medsto help treat your panic attacks? Like an SSRI antidepressant med, like Zoloft? If the med is working, then why are you fearful? Is it not working as well for the insomnia? Are you just concerned that you will require many dosage adjustments?
447130 tn?1225474466 Im currently taking effexor and seroquel, started off with prozac, then Mirtazapine think its also reffered to as zispin this was good for helping me sleep and also gave me a false appetite as i wasnt eating but didnt really help my bipolar. There was 1 more i was on but cant remem the name, hope this helps a bit.
Avatar f tn Well I don't suffer from depression and take a 30mg anti-depressant called Zispin. Why? Because it is known to work well for anxiety. People who suffer from depression seem to hate the tablet. Makes them tired all day and gives them bad nightmares at night. Oddly I only get the nightmares. Which I don't mind. So it shows the effects certain forms of medication can have on people with various conditions. I once tried Exfexor and it blew me away. Made me much worse. That's another anti-depressant.
968908 tn?1274874715 Plus also did it calm your anxiety straight away or like SSRI's did u feel an increase of anxiety when you forst started it? Cheers for the info...... i cant believe you seem to be the only one who takes it...no one else has answered on here or the depression forum.....
607502 tn?1288251140 Thing is my only AD experience was with SSRI's a long time ago and it caused mixed mania and a suicide attempt.
