I have been on it for six days and some of the same symptoms are starting again plus muscle tightness in the chest and throat. She told me to stop the zoloft. I asked if I should titrate it, but I was told to just stop it.

Avatar f tn Hello, Excessive sweating is called hyperhydrosis. Excessive sweating in the face can result from an overactive sympathetic nervous system, sometimes due to substance abuse. Mild social stimuli with stress can cause excessive facial sweating which can also involve the scalp and the neck. Endoscopic thoracic sympathicotomy is a very effective way to treat severe facial sweating. http://www.endsweat.com/hyperhidrosis.

Avatar m tn This may come and go and can be made worse by triggers such as anxiety, emotion, spicy foods, heat, and even anxiety about the sweating itself may make it worse. If it persists, further evaluation may need to be done. You may also benefit from a referral to an ENT or dermatologist. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn So I've been lifting weights & competing since 2009. My husband myself & 2 kids moved in with my parents summer of 2013 & that fall I had a breakdown because we were out of our normal sorts. We didn't like living with other people. I was getting very moody, high anxiety & couldn't wait for our house to be done. What I noticed was my concentration & memory was horrible. I couldn't focus for nothing.

Avatar f tn That buzzing can definitely be due to anxiety. I had it when I was going through a particularly bad patch. Plus the odd facial feelings too. And the dizzyness. Anxiety can cause day in day out symptoms as well as the more short lived ones.
Avatar n tn I have generalized anxiety disorder and it helps taking an anxiety med but anxiety med will not take it away completely as it is deeper psychological issue. I had a colonoscopy and hemorroids, but I also have bipolar disorder. Anxiety meds are narcotic and addictive and may worsen the anxiety if abused or used when not necessarily needed. Psychiatrists and doctors do not like to prescribe them because of drug seeking patients. The problem causes anxiety so it feeds on itself.
