Avatar m tn Yes, anxiety can cause all sorts of symptoms. Stomach problems are high on the list and so are muscles aches. If we think about these symptoms they can feel worse because we do have anxiety. Hopefully the endoscopy will give you some answers as to what's going on with your stomach. If it is GERD that can cause the weird feelings in your throat.
Avatar n tn I've always been a worrier and my anxiety symptoms started after i thought i got an STD from this girl i slept with. I've been tested 8 weeks after and the doctor said i'm fine, but somehow i didn't believe him and I went to think I have MS or a brain tumor or something terrible. I feel dumb because I have 0 family history of health problems so doc pretty much threw all those autoimmune diseases out the window. Plus I'm extrememly strong and athletic so its all anxiety i hope/think.

Avatar n tn I have been three weeks off of xanax and still my panic symptoms persist. I have taken leave from work and am on my third week away. It seems that panic I experienced while driving which was akin to near fainting/black out has given me a phobia towards driving. I tried to go to work today and only got about twelve miles from home before starting back. I want my old life back. The most normal I felt was when I was on the xanax but I don't want to go back to that.
2064671 tn?1335566453 I'm only into my 3rd week on this but I have finally had a few nights where I can actually sleep more than 4 hours. My symptoms pretty much match most of what I have seen here. Is there anything else I can do as far as diet or other meds to cope with these miserable symptoms? Dizzy, brain fog, vertigo, ringing in ears, muscle pains with a burning sensation, muscle spasms, random sharp pains all over my body, EXTREME fatigue and anxiety that I may have a disease.

630309 tn?1222449859 BuSpar is used in the treatment of anxiety disorders and and for short-term relief of the symptoms of anxiety, such as fear, tension, irritability, dizziness, pounding heartbeat, and other physical symptoms. As your doctor stated most of the side effects should dissipate over the next few days. There is a long list of anti-anxiety medication, but for some reason your doctor chose this one.
370181 tn?1428180348 too many cardiac risks AND GI bleed warnings. So much testing required during treatment. The anxiety while taking it would, in my opinion, far outweigh any benefits. I asked my rheumo to let me try opioids. I DO understand that these types of drugs are controversial in the treatment of arthritic pain, and are never the first line treatment choice, but I think I've given the other stuff a fair trial.
Avatar f tn My personal opinion is, if a medication is doing its job, and you have experienced relief of the intial symptoms you sought the medication for, then no changes are needed. I say this, because from my own personal experience, and from reading countless posts here, people decide that they no longer "need" the medication, come off the med, only to have the initial symptoms return, with a vengeance.
Avatar n tn tyrosine is a great amino for this purpose/not to be taken with anxiety tho as u do feel the nrg at the dose recommended in the thomas recipe/check the health pages/great article on the receptor sites and dopamine we do build extra receptor sites when we bombard our brain with pills///the brain is not equiped to handle the overload extra receptor sites are formed/again/again, the brain is a very finely tuned organ that will adjust when it senses the need to do so...
328799 tn?1276569332 They may be able to give you some medication that might ease some of your symptoms and give you some relief. It's possible you did pull some muscles, too, from the wrestling. The only cure for that, really, is rest and time. Taking an anti-inflammatory, like Motrin might help, too. I hope you feel better soon!
Avatar m tn I don't take medication because I read the side effects and they seem just as bad or worse than the actual illness. Do the symptoms relate to anxiety or something else. Any suggestion will help.

Avatar n tn Everyone is different, and some get very little relief from meds though. I had thought anxiety would never end until I went crazy, but that is before I took the meds, so I believe in the healing power of meds, in that they allowed me to live a normal life so I could get back my normal life. You should see a doc for a discussion of your situation, or better still a psychiatrist, since they have more experience.
Avatar f tn Hello, I am 29 years old and have had anxiety symptoms such as nervousness, crying for no reason at all, confusion... But nothing like the symptoms I experience earlier this month. On 08/11/2011 I was sitting on my couch watching my boyfriend play his video game. All of the sudden I felt my heart like skip a beat or I would like to compare it to a cell phone batterie thats about to die but you catch it just in time with the charger and it's fine....
Avatar f tn Only way I got relief was taking anti depressants, which got rid of my anxiety. However, I am not on those meds now, and anxiety has returned. Anxiety can last for many years, or perhaps it will go away of its own accord. I have ready many self help books, and have tried to deal with anxiety the natural way, but it persists, and I just have to live with it. Hopefully you will feel better soon. Have you seen a doctor about your worries?
Avatar m tn For the past three months or so I have been dealing with symptoms of anxiety. The first month I was just worried about a situation that previously occured at the job I use to work at. I then went to brian, college station to visit my aunt at the beginning of august. I enjoyed myself and the worry did not get in the way of me having fun. I was down there for 5 days.
Avatar n tn She says she needs air and sometimes goes outside. She never has never been diagnosed or have had asthma symptoms or even a chest cold in her I really don't think it's that. I think it's her hormones. I've never noticed she's felt this way, she plays soccer and runs around and has no trouble. She says she's fine, it's when she stops playing at recess or sits in class. She also mentioned she doesn't like when people stand real close to her, she feels smothered.
Avatar n tn However, I would seek psychiatric counseling to find out if the other symptoms are anxiety related. I suffer from anxiety and depression in the same boot. I have found through extreme counseling that depression causes a lot of medical problems; as well as anxiety causing several other problems. Only the proper diagnosis can find out what is going on with your body. I found a lot of relief with Respirdal, Celexa and klonipin. Please have your doctor refer you to a psychiatrist.
